An Ukrainian drone has reportedly attacked an airbase near the village of Shaikovka in the Kaluga Region today - it exploded over the runway of a military unit. Incidentally, it is 270km from there to Moscow. The UAV itself was launched from the territory of Ukraine, near the border with Russia, and managed to fly about 200km to its target.
It is known that the drone did not manage to cause any serious damage, it was shot down in mid-air on approach.

Footage from the village of Daryevka near Kherson, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at a column of cars with civilians from the MLRS "HIMARS"
Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired on the Daryevsky bridge in the Kherson region - the strikes hit a column of civilian vehicles. The transport was completely burnt out - five people were killed. The fact that only civilians were in the cars was also confirmed by Stremousov: “there were no military men on the bus in Daryevka, where the missile attack took place.”
It is reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched two missiles from the HIMARS MLRS, in addition to five dead, five more were injured. Readovka military correspondent Rostislav Shorokhov shows the consequences of a terrible shelling.

Guys, you don't believe me when I claim that the Ukrainians will not attack villages of Svatovo and Kremennaya now. I am pretty sure right now that there are neither 70 thousand nor even 40 thousand placed in the region of Krasnyy Liman and Yampol. As well as there isn't a 300 thousand AFU grouping in the Kherson direction. These are all their fairy tales invented for TV.
Though they do eventually
accumulate forces along the line of contact which are numerous indeed. And somewhere very deep inside the plans of the General Staff of the AFU, there lays a brilliant idea to launch an offensive and reach Crimea. It seems that they have people and equipment and ammo. Though Zaluzhniy clearly understands that this event will become their last battle. Whatever you want to choose - the Battle for Kherson or Zaporozhye and Melitopol. The last one for all of them. They will lose it.
He (Zaluzhniy) is a good strategist and tactician, and the AFU as well turned out to be effective warriors with good fighting skills. But!
The Russian Army is quite similar to a roller right now. Dirty, old, beaten up and covered in fuel oil, but it still rides. It goes mostly downhill, albeit meeting small hillocks. And you can't stop a roller that rolls downhill, you can only lie down under it or ride it while driving. So all of us now riding on this roller!
PS. And today's hysteria of Zelensky about a nuclear response proves it. Everybody's nerves are failing. This is a litmus test.

1. Despite today's belligerent discourse, we continue to rate the possibility of the use of nuclear weapons as unlikely. Well, maybe after Zelensky's hysterical statement, Lukashenko's demarche, and Medvedev's Telegram post the danger level can be raised from 3.5 to 4 on a scale of ten. There is still a long way to go before we reach the top ten.
2. Conspiracy speculation suggesting that Zelenski wouldn't say a word without Western approval and that his message is an ultimatum from NATO, is not correct. He really can't do anything on his own, but he can say whatever he wants in his speeches - luckily, his acting past allows him to. So, what Ze said today about a preventive strike is the purest improvisation.
3. Yes, as the common people do, nowadays many politicians have stopped watching what they say, even on such a dangerous subject as " nukes " (c) but we have to accept it as a fact and move on.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
💥 2 reinforced enemy battalions made an unsuccessful attempt to launch an offensive towards Pershotravnevoye, Kislovka, Tabayevka and Berestovoye at Kupyansk direction.
◽️ All the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have been repelled by intense action of Russian forces.
💥 Over 80 personnel of the AFU, 5 tanks, 4 infantry combat vehicles, 10 motor vehicles, as well as 1 German self-propelled artillery system with high-precision ordnance have been eliminated.
💥 Russian forces have eliminated over 30 Ukrainian personnel, 2 infantry combat vehicles, 5 armoured vehicles and 5 pickups when AFU forces attempted to cross Zherebets river at Krasny Liman direction.
◽️ Enemy's offensive operation has been prevented at the abovementioned direction.
💥 Up to 5 enemy battalion tactical groups made an attempt to conduct an offensive towards Pyatikhatki, Sadok, Ishchenka, Bezymennoye (Kherson region), as well as towards Ternoviye Pody (Nikolayev region) at Nikolayev-Krivoy Rog direction.
◽️ Decisive action of Russian forces have resulted in the repelling of all the attacks of the AFU and foreign mercenaries.
◽️ The enemy has been driven back to its initial positions.
💥 Operations near Pyatikhatka (Kherson region) have resulted in defeating a company tactical group from 60th Infantry Brigade of the AFU.
◽️ A total of over 300 Ukrainian personnel, 7 tanks, 13 armoured combat vehicles and 17 motor vehicles have been destroyed at Nikolayev-Krivoy Rog direction.
💥 Attacks launched by Russian Aerospace Forces at the provisional bases of 25th Airborne and 79th Air Assault brigades near Seversk and Slavyansk (Donetsk People's Republic), as well as of 30th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU near Kurdyumovka (Donetsk People's Republic) have resulted in the elimination of over 100 Ukrainian servicemen and 12 units of military equipment.
💥 High-precision attacks launched by Russian Aerospace Forces at Shepetovka repair works located in Khmelnitsky region have resulted in the destruction of the workshops for repairing missile and artillery armament of the AFU.
💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery have neutralised 6 AFU command posts, 53 artillery units at their firing positions, 162 manpower and military equipment concentration areas.
◽️ 2 missile, artillery armament and munitions depots of 56th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU near Zaporozhye have been destroyed.
💥 Air defence facilities have shot down 1 Mi-8 helicopter of Ukrainian Air Force near Dzerzhinsk in (Donetsk People's Republic).

Information emerged this morning about a drone intercept near the Shaikovka airfield in the Kaluga Region. Photos of the wreckage of the allegedly downed UAV, in which the contours of the Turkish Bayraktar-TB2 can easily be seen, have already appeared on the net.
Except that these photos were actually taken in Nagorno-Karabakh two years ago. They have nothing to do with the attempted attack in Kaluga.
And it is highly probable that a commercial quadcopter was used to raid the airbase.

By midday on October 7, the situation near #Svatovo and #Kremmenaya remains tense but controlled. RF Armed Forces units and volunteers from BARS-16 ("Kuban") and BARS-13 ("Russian Legion") units are preparing the towns for defence.
Engineering equipment is being actively used to build fortifications. Reactionary and barrel artillery is taking up positions behind the line of battle.
The Ukrainian armed forces regularly probe the Russian defence line: they operate in small sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) and attempt to provoke Russian artillery fire and identify its location.
In addition, the Ukrainian military is using long-range MLRS. For example, on the morning of 7 October, the Ukrainian armed forces fired HIMARS at the interchange between #Rubezhnoye and #Kremmenaya.
The Ukrainian military is currently most active to the north of #Svatovo, planning to bypass and encircle the city this way. The 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the AFU is attempting to enter the area of #Pershotravenskoye, #Kislovka, #Tabayevka, #Berestovoye (approximately 40 km north of #Svatovo).
At the same time, the Ukrainian armed forces are concentrating their forces around #Makeevka, located between #Svatovo and #Kremmenaya. The 17th Tank Brigade and the 25th Airborne Brigade are pulling up their reserves there.
According to the Military Chronicles, radio intercepts in the area of the fighting show a large number of conversations in English, Polish and Romanian, which may indicate the involvement of foreign mercenaries in the fighting.

The Ukrainian military is currently most active to the north of #Svatovo, planning to bypass and encircle the city this way. The 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the AFU is attempting to enter the area of #Pershotravenskoye, #Kislovka, #Tabayevka, #Berestovoye (approximately 40 km north of #Svatovo).
At the same time, the Ukrainian armed forces are concentrating their forces around #Makeevka, located between #Svatovo and #Kremmenaya. The 17th Tank Brigade and the 25th Airborne Brigade are pulling up their reserves there.
According to the Military Chronicles, radio intercepts in the area of the fighting show a large number of conversations in English, Polish and Romanian, which may indicate the involvement of foreign mercenaries in the fighting.
Military Chronicles interlocutors from the BARS-13 detachment claim that the Ukrainian armed forces plan to use mercenaries to attempt to storm #Svatovo and #Kremmenaya.

▪️ At the same time, mobile AFU groups are trying to break through the fields on the #Pyatikhatka - #Sukhanovo line, while formations of the 57th Specialised Rifle Brigade are attacking Russian Forces' positions south of Davydov Brod.
▪️ Russian artillery and air force attack the AFU positions and prevent them from gaining a foothold on the front line.
