Global 1-........ is happening because humans have 2-........ the earth’s atmospher so the heat can not 3-........ from it.
We need some heat, of course. carbon dioxide, methane and water vapour retain enough heat from the sun to sustain life on earth But human activity has 4-......... that balance. We’ve put carbon dioxide, methane. And nitrous oxide into the atmosphere in massive amounts by burning 5-.......... , oil, gas and 6-......... . We’ve 7-......... a lot of forests and use 8-......... methods that add to the greenhouse gases in atmosphere. Now, there’s too much carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous dioxide in the air. Today, the atmosphere 9-........ 32 percent more carbon dioxide than it did in the mid-1800s. All those gases act like a 10-......... retaining too much of the sun’s heat. That means we’re fundamentally changing 11-........ Earth’s climate. Global average temperature has 12-........ by .6-degrees Celsius since 1900. The Northern Hemisphere is now 13-......... warmer. than at any point during the past 14-......... years.
And that is global warming.
