In the last attack targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut, I halted negotiations and announced that we would strike the Israeli entity that night, and if the entity retaliated, we would strike the entire region. As a result, they lifted the blockade that same night, whereas, according to the understanding, it was supposed to be lifted after 30 days.

When Trump tweeted that the blockade and the Strait of Hormuz would be opened together that night, I declared that if the false claim regarding the Strait of Hormuz was not corrected, we would launch the attack, and Trump was forced to correct his post. This kind of negotiation means struggle and confrontation.

Five years after the U.S. withdrawal, Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi has called for Washington to reopen its embassy in Kabul and invest in the country’s mineral resources, dams, and infrastructure.
In an interview with The New York Times, Muttaqi said the “chapter of war” has ended and Afghanistan wants relations based on mutual respect, while firmly rejecting any return of U.S. troops.

The United States remains opposed to normalization, citing ongoing terrorism concerns and Taliban policies on human rights and governance.
