“The Strait of Hormuz has been Iranian, is Iranian, and will remain Iranian” — Iranian Deputy FM
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi hit back after US President Donald Trump claimed he would soon declare the Strait of Hormuz “a territory of the United States.”
Gharibabadi said the Strait of Hormuz cannot be seized “by tweet,” “by aircraft carrier,” “by issuing an order” or “by an election speech.”
He stressed that the US must accept reality.
💬 “This strait will be closed and opened only under Iran’s command,” he added.
Gharibabadi warned that as long as the US refuses to accept its strategic defeats and continues fantasizing, Iran will continue enforcing the blockade.

The extended deployment of USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) and reported supply problems appear to be tied in part to the loss of the Navy’s logistics hub in Bahrain early in the Iran war.
Iranian missile and drone strikes heavily damaged the Naval Support Activity Bahrain, home of the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet, forcing the Navy to shift much of its regional logistics support to Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia, roughly 2,200 miles from the carrier forces operating in the Gulf of Oman. The island subsequently became an Iranian target, with two ballistic missiles launched toward Diego Garcia on March 20; one fell short and a Navy ship intercepted the other.
That logistical disruption has coincided with an unusually demanding deployment for Lincoln. The carrier has been at sea for nearly nine months without a liberty call, while supporting combat operations and the blockade of Iranian ports. Lawmakers have raised concerns about reported shortages of basic supplies and deteriorating crew morale.
The Navy is now replacing Lincoln with the forward deployed USS George Washington (CVN-73), which is already transiting toward the Middle East. Another carrier, George H.W. Bush, has also been operating in the region for months.

You have brought to your knees, through reliance on Allah Almighty and your victorious fighting under extremely difficult conditions—amidst the scorching heat and high humidity of the southern islands and coasts, and the bitter cold of the towering border mountains in the north—and through successful offensive and defensive operations under heavy fire, the most heavily armed army in the history of the world.

In the last attack targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut, I halted negotiations and announced that we would strike the Israeli entity that night, and if the entity retaliated, we would strike the entire region. As a result, they lifted the blockade that same night, whereas, according to the understanding, it was supposed to be lifted after 30 days.
When Trump tweeted that the blockade and the Strait of Hormuz would be opened together that night, I declared that if the false claim regarding the Strait of Hormuz was not corrected, we would launch the attack, and Trump was forced to correct his post. This kind of negotiation means struggle and confrontation.

Five years after the U.S. withdrawal, Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi has called for Washington to reopen its embassy in Kabul and invest in the country’s mineral resources, dams, and infrastructure.
In an interview with The New York Times, Muttaqi said the “chapter of war” has ended and Afghanistan wants relations based on mutual respect, while firmly rejecting any return of U.S. troops.
The United States remains opposed to normalization, citing ongoing terrorism concerns and Taliban policies on human rights and governance.

We defended ourselves in the most moral way.
There is no army, including Western armies in the world, that checks any military objectives to minimize collateral damage.
