🇮🇷🇺🇸🇮🇶A report to the Simurgh that we were skeptical about keeps persisting: Elements of the Nohed 65 Brigade (Iranian Army Special Forces) have recently been very active over the border in Iraq's Kurdistan Province.
A few nights ago they'd set up an ambush for CIA/Mossad-backed Kurdish militants.
But the US special forces stumbled into the ambush instead.
There are unconfirmed reports of a number of the US forces getting captured.
The sudden trip by Iran's Minister of Interior to Pakistan and renewed talk of diplomacy maybe no coincidence if the initial reports of contact between the Iranian and the US forces prove correct.
Also, the US has sent reinforcements who reached its base in Erbil today 20/07/2026.
Perhaps Iranian forces reported heading west are going to shore up defences on Iraq’s border.
