Tampa, Florida – On July 17, two U.S. soldiers were killed in Jordan as U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and partner forces responded to Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks. Another soldier remains missing.
Four U.S. service members were medically evacuated to hospitals in Jordan and have since been discharged. Other personnel who underwent medical evaluations for minor injuries have returned to duty.
Out of respect for the families, U.S. Central Command will withhold additional information, including the identities of the fallen service members, until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified.
