We in Lebanon are fighting a battle of legitimate defense to confront the brutal "Israeli" aggression, and we are facing a dangerous and savage aggression that poses an existential threat.

We were not facing a normal situation, but rather a continuous barbaric act lasting for 15 months.

We have raised the cry several times that the opportunity would run out, and that there is a limit to the continuation of aggression and a limit to the exhaustion of patience.

On three occasions, across three stages, we convened at the leadership level and consulted on responding to the aggression; however, we viewed the timing as inappropriate and were convinced of giving an additional chance, believing that the circumstances were not suitable.

There were parties contacting us and insisting that we provide them with an additional opportunity for the political path.

In the final month, the "Israeli" debate focused on the necessity of carrying out a major operation against Lebanon, but the debate was over the timing.

We found that in what occurred following the aggression against Iran and after the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei, conditions became suitable for us to confront this enemy.

On one hand, he has been committing aggression for 15 months and it seems he will not stop; on the other hand, he killed our Imam and leader; and thirdly, when the battle is synchronized with what is happening in Iran, we can weaken the enemy.

We mounted a defense, yet some say you provoked the enemy with this barrage; did the martyrs, the wounded, and the prisoners not provoke you?

We consider ourselves in the right of legitimate defense, and we are in the "Battle of the Al-Asf al-Ma'kul" (the Eaten Straw), which is in defense of Lebanon against the "Israeli" enemy.

We decided to name this operation the "Battle of the Al-Asf al-Ma'kul," which is a defense of Lebanon, our dignity, and our land, and a confrontation with the "Israeli" enemy, taking inspiration from Surat al-Fil in the Holy Quran.

The Lebanese government has been able neither to achieve sovereignty nor to protect its citizens.

The enemy has resorted to the destruction of homes in a horrific and very dangerous manner, even targeting Al-Qard Al-Hassan, and has displaced entire cities under the pretext of "fighting the resistance fighters," while in reality, he is extinguishing life.

There is no solution except through resistance; otherwise, Lebanon is heading toward extinction.

We have taken lessons and insights from the "Battle of the Mighty."

We affirm that the enemy now does not possess the capability to achieve its goals.

We have prepared ourselves for a long confrontation, and they will be surprised on the battlefield; the enemy will see our might, and his threats do not frighten us.

Hezbollah fighters are seekers of martyrdom who do not fear death and are ready for direct, close-quarters engagement with the enemy.
