On July 1 at 3:30 am Eastern Time, the crew of an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter from the U.S. aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) made an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea. There are no indications that the incident was caused by hostile action. Three of the four crew members were rescued and are in stable condition aboard the USS George H.W. Bush.
The US Naval units in the area are continuing the search for the remaining missing crew member. The cause of the incident is under investigation.

Of course the fighter jets taking part are invisible with their transponders off.
Clearly, such costly actions cannot be maintained indefinitely.

Thankfully it was not related to military action.

Local fishermen have reported witnessing a massive explosion at sea level after what seemed like arms fire, following which the Seahawk tilted and dropped like a stone into the sea.
The USN Seahawks are used for mine hunting and clearance.
After talking to former Iranian helicopter pilots who performed similar duties during the Iran-Iraq War, this is our verdict for a likely scenario:
An Iranian Maham sea mine was spotted just below the water surface. The gunner on-board must have decided to snipe the mine, for which the Seahawk must have got into an unsafe distance.
Massive blasts push the air out in 360°, momentarily creating a vacuum.
The Seahawk must have been within the vaccum sphere and lost all lift.
If our hypothesis proves correct, the crew will have a lot to answer for since MH-60S carries arrays of electromagnetic pods that can set off sea mines at distance.

🇺🇸On July 1st, CENTCOM hosted a regional security dialogue in Bahrain with Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the UAE, and Yemen (the Saudi occupied territories) to discuss regional security, defense cooperation, and the "free" (🤣) flow of commerce through the Strait of Hormuz.
**We did mention in our posts on July 1, that the current mode of US escort of shipping through the strait is untenable due to costs. To cut through the nonsense, Washington is trying to get a coalition of proxy Arab regimes to fork out for the costs.
