The Simurgh: An Eye on the Enemy
๐ฑ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฑ Channel 12, quoting an Israeli official: A framework agreement has been reached with Lebanon. The agreement will include each country recognizing the other's sovereignty over its territory. @SimurghRes
๐ฑ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฑ IsraelโLebanon Framework Agreement
@SimurghRes
1. Israel and Lebanon agree to pursue a permanent end to their conflict, recognize each other's right to exist in peace and security, and negotiate a comprehensive peace agreement with U.S. mediation.
2. Lebanon will gradually restore state control across its territory by disarming non-state armed groups. As this is independently verified, Israeli forces will progressively withdraw from Lebanese territory under agreed security arrangements.
3. The Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) will first assume control in designated pilot areas after armed groups are disarmed. These areas will then be reconstructed, civilians will return safely, and further zones will follow as agreed.
4. Lebanon commits to establishing the state's exclusive control over all weapons and security matters by fully disarming all non-state armed groups nationwide.
5. Israel states its military operations in Lebanon are solely directed at threats posed by non-state armed groups, particularly Hezbollah, and affirms it has no territorial claims in Lebanon.
6. Lebanon confirms that only its government and official security forces have the authority to make decisions regarding war, peace, and national defense.
7. Both countries retain their right to self-defense under international law and will establish a joint military coordination mechanism with U.S. participation to oversee implementation.
8. Israel and Lebanon support a secure, sovereign, and rebuilt Lebanon free of armed groups threatening either country, ensuring security for both southern Lebanon and northern Israel.
9. Lebanon will strengthen the LAF to enforce nationwide security and implement disarmament. U.S. assistance will depend on verified progress, transparency, and accountability.
10. The United States will work with international partners to support Lebanon's reconstruction, economic recovery, infrastructure development, and humanitarian needs.
11. Lebanon and the United States will work together to prevent funding from reaching non-state armed groups and ensure reconstruction funds are used only for legitimate purposes.
12. Upon signing, both governments will begin drafting a comprehensive peace treaty and establish direct negotiation channels with U.S. facilitation.
13. Both countries will refrain from hostile political and legal actions against one another and cooperate on recovering remains and releasing detainees.
14. Israel and Lebanon acknowledge and thank the United States, and President Donald J. Trump, for facilitating the agreement and supporting efforts toward lasting peace.

๐ฎ๐ท๐บ๐ธ| The IRGC issued a statement after US attacked Sirik, southern Iran:
Following the Zionist regimeโs violation of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon, a few hours ago the treaty-breaking American regime also, as always, violated its commitments.
Under various pretexts related to the movement of a violating ship through an unauthorized route in the Strait of Hormoz, it launched an air attack on the coasts of Iran.
In response to this aggression, the IRGC-Navy struck the US Army positions in the region.
According to Clause 5 of the Islamabad MoU, the arrangements for controlling passage and traffic in the Strait of Hormuz are under the authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
However, America, by provoking various sides, sought to violate this commitment, and the necessary response was given. From now on, it will be the same. If the aggression is repeated, our response will be broader than this.

๐ฎ๐ท The Sunni head Cleric in Iran: Iran-U.S. Interests Should Not Be Tied to Israel and Lebanon
Full statement:
@SimurghRes
Full statement:
The leading Sunni cleric in Zahedan, Iran, Molavi Abdolhamid, called for giving priority to Iran's national interests and improving the living conditions of Iranians in any negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
During his Friday sermon, he said that Iran is facing "numerous problems, particularly in the areas of the economy and people's livelihoods," stressing that "the national interests of Iran and improving the lives of its people should be the foremost priority in all negotiations, taking precedence over the interests of any other country or people."
Molavi Abdolhamid welcomed the resumption of negotiations between Iran and the United States, adding, "I do not believe it is right for the national interests of the United States and Iran to be tied to Israel and Lebanon."
He added that once Tehran and Washington resolve their differences and establish diplomatic relations, the two sides would be able to "address the issues of Israel, Lebanon, and Palestine more easily through diplomacy."
In another part of his sermon, he called for an end to chanting "death to" slogans against any country or people, saying that "it is not appropriate to continue slogans that date back 47 years, because circumstances have changed."
He also called for an end to repression, the release of political prisoners, and respect for the rights of Iran's ethnic and religious minorities. He urged the Iranian authorities to uphold the rights and freedoms guaranteed by Islam, international law, and the Iranian Constitution.

Pepe Escobar:
Iran was ROBBED by FIFA. On American soil.
English great Alan Shearer:
โThat is one of the worst VAR decisions I've seen on a World Cup stage. If the officials can't get a moment like that right with every replay available, then you have to ask what VAR is actually there for.โ
โYou're not talking about a throw-in or a corner you're talking about a goal that could have changed an entire nation's World Cup. That level of incompetence is simply unacceptable.โ
โThe referee and the VAR officials have to be held accountable. You cannot make a decision of that magnitude, hide behind technology, and then expect everyone to move on as if nothing happened.โ
โIran earned that moment. The players celebrated, the fans celebrated, and millions back home believed they had witnessed history. Then, within seconds, a disastrous decision ripped it all away.โ
โThis isn't just a mistake it has consequences. Careers, dreams, and years of sacrifice can be destroyed by one wrong call. That's why the standard for VAR has to be far higher than this.โ
โIf that decision was incorrect, then football owes Iran an explanation. The officials will walk into another match next week, but Iranian supporters will remember this moment for the rest of their lives. That's the real tragedy.โ

"Where is the integrity of the Lebanese authority and its responsibility towards its people and the protection of Lebanonโs sovereignty, which the American guardian did not grant a ceasefire to?
Direct negotiations are purely gratuitous concessions to Israel because they are meetings to impose submission to the demands of aggression.
You have no leverage to fight with because you voluntarily abandoned the power of the resistance and the people. You stabbed the resistance in the back by declaring it outlawed in the heart of the war, from the very first moment, by the government's ill-fated decision.
The memorandum of understanding guarantees the safety of Lebanese territory and its sovereignty through a complete Israeli withdrawal agreed upon within 60 days. The authorities are legitimizing the continuation of the occupation for many years and may even lead to the annexation of these lands to the Zionist entity.
Any agreement must be limited to the area south of the Litani River and must not be linked to any internal Lebanese matters concerning weapons, security, or the future of the country. Linking the Israeli withdrawal to the disarmament of the resistance throughout Lebanon is a very dangerous proposal that crosses all red lines. No one has the right to deprive the Lebanese of their right to defend themselves and their land against the occupier of our land and the killer of our people.
The framework agreement in Washington is humiliating, shameful, and a surrender of sovereignty. The framework agreement is nonexistent and the provisions of the Iranian-American memorandum of understanding must be implemented. We will pursue all means and international and Arab pressures to ensure the enemy adheres to the first clause of the memorandum of understanding and withdraws from Lebanon.
It is time for the Lebanese authorities to retract their sin that is destroying Lebanon, and we are ready to cooperate for the sovereignty of Lebanon and the liberation of its land. We did not abandon the field in the most difficult circumstances and we will not abandon it."

The statement issued by the so-called "Tripartite Framework" in Washington, comprising the United States, Israel, and Lebanon, reveals a distortion of facts and concepts, particularly concerning the legitimate resistance, its rights, and its national role, as well as those who constitute the actual and legal threat to Lebanese sovereignty. The statement deliberately inverts the truth and adopts and perpetrates forbidden and reprehensible acts with premeditation.
The statement also demonstrates the Lebanese government's complete subservience to the logic of American hegemony and its complicity with the Zionist enemy against its own people, who are deeply rooted in their land, reject the Israeli occupation, and are steadfast, sacrificing, and refusing to submit or surrender.
The Lebanese government's position, as expressed in the statement, transcends mere shame, disgrace, and depravity. It amounts to a betrayal of Lebanon's sovereignty, the rights and interests of the Lebanese people, their dignity and aspirations, and a blatant disregard for them, a deception of them, and a falsification of their free and honorable national will. The core of this framework agreement remains its insidious and sinister purpose: to legitimize the continued Israeli occupation of Lebanon and provide a loophole that the signatories of the statement mistakenly believe allows America to evade its explicit commitment to Iran regarding its responsibility to pressure Israel to withdraw completely from Lebanon and respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The preamble to this framework agreement declares that Lebanon, under American auspices, has agreed to Israel's conditions for withdrawal, and that both parties have pledged to disarm the resistance as a prelude to Israeli redeployment, not a complete withdrawal.
This is an ominous and utterly unacceptable statement, a mere hooting of an owl in Lebanon and the region.
May Allah protect Lebanon and the Lebanese people... and may the responsibility rest upon the honorable, the free, the courageous, and the sovereign.

๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ง The Political Bureau of the Lebanese shia Amal Movement has issued the following statement:
The Political Bureau of the Amal Movement, having reviewed the contents of the agreement signed yesterday between the Israeli enemy and Lebanon, and whilst reaffirming the Movementโs stance rejecting direct negotiations with the enemy and its adherence to international resolutions, considers that this agreement is unbalanced and, in most of its provisions, enshrines facts on the ground that serve the enemyโs interests at the expense of the national interest. It entails political and sovereign risks and cannot be accepted, as it does not constitute the basis for a just agreement that safeguards Lebanonโs rights, protects its sovereignty and its foundations.
The Movement reaffirms the following principles:
- Firstly, the enemy must be compelled to withdraw fully and completely from all Lebanese territory it has occupied, up to the internationally recognised borders.
- The Lebanese Army must be deployed and exercise its full authority and role, thereby strengthening the authority and legitimacy of the state.
- The return of residents to all their villages and towns, and the commencement of a reconstruction plan to secure the infrastructure.
- The continuation of indirect negotiations to resolve outstanding issues and consolidate the recognised international borders, the return of prisoners, and the adoption of the mechanism set out in the November 2024 agreement.
- The Amal Movement considers that any agreement which does not stem from these principles and does not guarantee their full realisation remains an unacceptable agreement and will not achieve sovereignty, security or stability.
The statement concluded:
The Movement calls on all Lebanese to exercise the highest degree of vigilance and national unity, and not to be drawn into the enemyโs schemes to sow internal discord, for the unity of the Lebanese people remains an impenetrable bulwark against any threats to the nation.
