At 11:30, the Israeli enemy army opened fire with machine guns from between the houses towards a group of civilians in the Al-Deir neighborhood of Nabatieh city, who were working to clear roads and recover the bodies of martyrs from under the rubble. This treacherous attack by the enemy army resulted in the martyrdom of two civilians, one of whom was a municipal employee, and the injury of others.

The Islamic Resistance warns that what the enemy has done constitutes a blatant violation of the ceasefire, which the Resistance has adhered to until now.

The victory marks the zenith of where belief in righteousness can take the Umma.
I choose to believe we're closer to the kingdom of heaven for having stood up not just for Islam but for all downtrodden people throughout our world.
Remember brothers and sisters, our heritage as Shia Muslims is being dutibound to justice and to reject corruption, regardless of the costs. We are merely continuing on the path of the sacred struggle undertaken by Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala.

The parents wrote in their letter:

Our fighters in Lebanon are handcuffed, and it seems that external factors sometimes dictate the course of events. We will not allow our soldiers to be sacrificed due to external considerations or indifference on the part of the political leadership.

The parents also demanded that no ministers whose sons or grandsons do not serve in the Israeli army—and who even take pride in that—should participate in decision-making regarding the war or in cabinet discussions.

They further criticized the situation on the ground, saying:

So far, we do not see a clear objective for the military operation in Lebanon. The Israeli army fighters cannot be kept in a state of stagnation; let them decide the battle against the enemy.

The parents demanded:

Either immediately seek to end the fighting and bring all the fighters home.
