The incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. in the area of the village of Yahmor in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon. Immediately after the incident, medical teams provided treatment to the injured. The sergeant was killed at the scene, while the three wounded were evacuated by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
The Israeli army is concerned that Hezbollah has begun operating explosive-laden drones equipped with cameras capable of seeing even in dark conditions.
