First, I express my deep sympathy to the families of the honorable martyrs. This stems from a shared experience I have with them; for alongside my father, whose loss became a public affliction, I have bid farewell to my faithful, dear wife, my sacrificing sister who exhausted herself in the service of her parents and attained her reward, her young child, and my other brother-in-law, the noble scholar—to the caravan of martyrs.

But what makes patience in the face of calamities possible, and even easy, is trust in God's definitive promise of a great reward for the patient. Therefore, one must be patient and rely on the kindness of God Almighty.
