Most of those people are dead already.

They have no military. They have no nothing.

They admit that they are losing. They are begging to make a deal.

When I was a Senator, I saw great value in NATO. It wasn't just about defending Europe. It allowed us to have bases in Europe so that when our national security was threatened, we could project our power to other parts of the world.

If we have now reached a point where the NATO alliance means we cannot use these bases to defend American interests, then it is strictly a one-way street.

This means we must have forces in Europe to defend Europe, but when we need their help and they say no to us, then why are we in NATO?

Why have we spent trillions of dollars over these years and have all these forces stationed in the region, but when we need them, we cannot use them?
