🇮🇷❌🇮🇱 The Israeli Air Force used cluster munitions of the CBU-94/B “Blackout” type, equipped with BLU-114/B submunitions, to create electrical short circuits in several power generation plants and substations, including those in the Piroozi area east of Tehran.

❗️The dispersed aluminum filaments from these submunitions adhered to wires, transformers, and other electrical components, disrupting their operation and preventing power generation. Once these materials were removed and the affected components were cleaned and repaired, electricity was restored to Tehran and Karaj.

❗️This action served as a warning within a gradual targeting campaign against Iran’s energy assets, and as a test of Iran’s potential response in the event of actual airstrikes targeting energy infrastructure during an intensified campaign.
