🔹️Operating in the L-band with a detection range exceeding 400 km, it is used in air defense and tactical command and control systems. It is known for its ability to operate in harsh weather conditions and its resistance to jamming.

🔹️The estimated cost of a single AN/FPS-117 radar unit and its mobile variant, the 77-ANTPS, ranges from over $25 million USD.

🔹️This occurred during recent attacks on Saudi Arabia, which claimed to have intercepted drones and missiles.
