⚡Saudi Arabia is preparing to launch a new offensive against the Houthis in Yemen, possibly within weeks, with the primary goal of regaining control of the Bab al-Mandab Strait and restoring navigation in the Red Sea.

More than 100,000 Yemeni soldiers could be mobilized, with Saudi air support. Riyadh is considering either launching a limited attack on coastal areas or a broader offensive on multiple fronts across Yemen.

The United States is providing intelligence and military advisers, but is not expected to participate directly in the fighting.

Pakistan has deployed between 30,000 and 40,000 troops inside Saudi Arabia to help defend against Houthi missile and drone attacks.
