Ventricular septal defect | FSI analysis

A ventricular septal defect (VSD) is a hole in the heart. It's a common heart problem present at birth (congenital heart defect). The hole occurs in the wall that separates the heart's lower chambers (ventricles).

In this project, I simulated the CFD of blood flow inside a heart with the VSD problem, and in the second step, one-way FSI method was used to get the stress and deformation of the heart's wall

Centrifugal hydro cyclones are commonly used in industries such as mining, oil refining, chemical processing, and wastewater treatment for efficient solid-liquid or liquid-liquid separation.

This short #CFD simulation shows the rotation of fluid flow through the vanes.

In contrast with conventional #cfd methods that require #meshes, the MPS method models fluids directly using particles to represent the fluid. This allows for easily modeling the free surfaces of fluids and for modeling multiple fluid types together, along with the boundaries between these fluids.

Glory hole spillway | CFD simulation
SIMPAL GROUP

The glory hole spillway is a type of spillway used in dams or reservoirs to release excess water. It consists of a vertical, cylindrical or funnel-shaped structure with a large circular opening at the top. When water levels rise above the desired capacity, it flows over the dam and enters the glory hole spillway, which then channels the water downward and away from the dam. The name "glory hole" comes from the visual effect created when water plunges into the hole, often creating a spectacular display.

In this project, I used the VOF model to simulate the air-water flow inside it and estimated the massflow at the outlet.
