BRICZOG enjoyers like to exaggerate the scale of Chinese gold purchases and fantasize about a "gold backed ruble" when Russia is in fact dumping it's gold at record pace, and China isn't even in the top 5.
The latest data from the World Gold Council shows that Poland continues to accumulate gold at record pace; and that Turkish gold sales to prop up it's faltering currency are eclipsed as Russia dumps it's gold to stay afloat a little longer.
