I've been having visions tonight.

As a mushroom creature, i have a tendency to see many realities at the same time... and I have been seeing things around polling centers. Reality fracturing around them. I don't think mortals have taken into account how much the very despair of politics strains spacetime.
Black eagles with wisps of void around them, which you simply do NOT talk about, at least not in its presence. Lines of people which wrap upon themselves....
A gymnasium full of voting booths going non-eucilidian and stairs with people on them, going in and out of walls and people standing in line on the ceiling...

Why did they put election day so close to Samhain?

Samhain is the weakest point in the year for the borders between realities. And yet, its placed as if suddenly, that border is just strong and right as rain on November 1st..
I've been seeing people falling through cracks in spacetime around polling places....
As if the the mix of pure sustained aneristic mundanity and the pure despair of those standing in line for hours with no hope associated with their vote, demands a response by the most eldritch to dip their tendrils into it...
Order can be just as frightening as chaos.

Its funny. I can see into those cracks, and I can see bright futures, and dark futures... and no futures.

Some people fall through, and end up at the last election. Some fall through, and they end up at the next one. Some fall through and find out there is no election, they've already been abolished. Some fall through and the planet is displaced just enough for them to crash and fall into their polling place from a few miles up. Some fall through and the earth has already been destroyed. In another, even creepier one, Earth still there, but all life has ended on it.

I've been to a number of elections, so I have some suggestions ...

If you see the same people in different places in line, turn 480 degrees (NEVER 120 degrees) and then walk until people stop repeating, then go back to the place in line you were at. If you find yourself in line there, don't go home and do not interact. Leave the building and keep walking until you are falling. After about 3 days and 20 hours you will land. Return to the polling place. No time will have passed.

If you see any eagles there that move but are as black as the actual void, with wisps around them, no you didn't.

If people are phasing through walls at your polling place, exit the polling place, and walk widdershins (counter-clockwise) around the polling place three times then enter.

Do NOT, NOT, OMG DO NOT, trust ANY ELEVATOR at a polling place. Use the stairs if at all possible. You cannot trust where the elevator goes. Ever.

If you look at your ballot and the language it is in does not appear of this planet, stop using your true-sight to look at it. I know many fae who get tripped up by that.
On the other tendril, if you look at your ballot and you can understand it and you KNOW its not of this plane of existence, vote. Then exit the booth, re-enter it, then place your actual US election vote.

There was this one time when we were like, 6 years of age, we got stuck inside a hypercube until we figured out the pattern, just because we trusted the wrong elevator. For once in my life, I was actually scared...
Wake up 4 hours later. Our nightmares are about the most mundane shit its actually frightening.

Was with my dad, the same one that disowned me, at some place called the Seafoam Islands. There was a place where me and my cousins could turn into seals (we were selkies) and my father (same one that disowned me mind you) said I could go swimming one more time (he didn't know about me being a selkie) so I went and sealed out in a cove but came back 2 hours late...

Well my father left me and my sister behind (she was also selkie?!) which was fine to me but I had left everything in my bag (cell phone, wallet, laptop) and I ended up calling him on another phone asking why he left and he said it was very rude of me to not come back to go and if I wanted him to come back I needed to write an apology in hexadecimal unicode... I told him nothing doing and that I would rather just stay with my aunt who welcomed me to stay but if he didn't return my phone, my laptop and my wallet i'd report them all stolen and tell the cops the make model and license plate of his car and ruin his life.

Then I woke up. This is what our brain considers frightening. Being stuck someplace unable to contact anyone I love and being without my cell phone that connects me with everything...

So I looked up someone in my family, my youngest cousin, and the only other furry in the family I know of. Cute rainbow avatar, too, like it runs in the family or something... but i'll tell you what doesn't.

Looked him up on facebook again cause I wanted to reconnect to the only other furry in my family, maybe invite him to my discord, or even this chat. Found out his current job is ... working as a news editor ... directly ... for the Trump campaign in Georgia.

Nope.

And also, this is one of the reasons why I left home in late 1997 and never left any contact information. Because, I mean, in these late years they do say they accept me and my sister is all like "welp just means I have another sister" about my transness, but my family, all sides but my grandmas, is literally what Idiocracy warned about.

Its also part of why I have fucktons of trauma (about half of it i'd say), and is at least partially responsible for our system. Because I come from a very fucked up background and I am about the only one I know of who escaped.

One of the advantages of being AuDHD (especially in the 80s) is that it made one ungovernable and made you question things (even when they lead to beatings...)

My grandma's side (on my fathers side) of the family is mostly democrat, based on what I know of their politics. However my father, and most those on my moms side, lets just say I know they're not.

I think AuDHD actually makes you sane. Does anyone know anyone on the spectrum voting republican?

Damn Aniimo is good.. Like good good. Nintendo has more to fear from Aniimo than from Palworld.
So I have some opinions about Aniimo and AI, and the whole "chinese spyware" thing.
1) If they say they use AI to "test their code" or "do translations" and stuff, I just don't care about that. The reason why is because its literally less AI than I'd be forced to use at work. Even the Linux kernel is using AI for purposes like this now. These use cases are the reason why we know about the recent PHP vulnerability that give people root and how we know a CA had a cert with a value of "4". The way the world is getting with this, if we say "AI cannot have touched this software in any part of the process" then soon those people simply won't be able to use software. For better or worse, this is how its gotten.

2) There is a difference between using AI software to test and harden your code, to use it to test game balance, and all of these gruntwork processes that have less to do with making the game and more to do with making sure the game runs properly. This is the part of game development that isn't at all creative, and because its not creative, often goes neglected in game dev. I'm fine with "Hey claude, go check this code I wrote for any obvious problems." Creative vs. Assistive has to be a thing here.

3) As for this whole "chinese spyware" thing, yes it has an anti-cheat, but the anti-cheat is light enough to work on Linux without other augmentation, so I would go to say, if it loads on Linux and does not crash, where it simply cannot get kernel level access, then it's probably fine to trust it on Windows. It probably just does what the developer says it does, which is to provide anti-cheat services. Easy Anti-cheat is so intrusive it doesn't work on Linux half the time , and yet people accept EAC.
