The Kunkeshwar temple at Devgad, Sindhudurg district is referred to as the 'Kashi of Konkan' since Kashi has 108 Shivalingas while Kunkeshwar has 107.

This temple is situated at the seaside in the village of Kunkeshwar. It is located at a height near the foothill of a mountain. The temple is 70 feet tall. This is included in the famous seats of worship of Deity Shiva in the Konkan region.

श्री गणेशजी की तरंगें जिस दिन प्रथम पृथ्वी पर आयी, अर्थात जिस दिन भगवान श्री गणेश का जन्म हुआ, वह दिन था माघ शुक्ल पक्ष चतुर्थी । इसलिए माघ शुक्ल पक्ष चतुर्थी ‘श्री गणेश जयंती’ के रूप में मनाई जाती है । इसी दिन से गणपति का एवं चतुर्थी का संबंध जुड गया । इस तिथि पर की गई श्री गणेश की उपासना से गणेश-तत्त्व का लाभ अधिक होता है ।

🌞 रथसप्तमी (२८.१.२०२३) 🌞

माघ शुक्ल पक्ष सप्तमी को रथसप्तमी कहते हैं । इस दिन महर्षि कश्यप और देवमाता अदिती को सूर्यदेव पुत्र के रूप में प्राप्त हुए ! सूर्यनारायण भगवान श्रीविष्णु का एक रूप हैं । संपूर्ण विश्‍व को अपने महातेजस्वी स्वरूप से प्रकाशमय करनेवाले सूर्यदेव के कारण पृथ्वी पर जीवन अस्तित्व में है ।

कहा जाता है कि, इस दिन से सूर्यदेव अपने रथ में बैठकर यात्रा करते हैं । इस रथ में सात घोडे होते हैं; इसलिए रथसप्तमी शब्द का उपयोग किया जाता है ।

नर्मदाजी का उगम माघ शुक्ल पक्ष सप्तमी को अश्‍विनी नक्षत्र में दोपहर १२ बजे मध्य प्रदेश के अनुप्पुर जनपद के अमरकंटक में हुआ; इसलिए इस दिन नर्मदा जयंती मनाई जाती है ।

नर्मदाजी की महिमा -

सरस्वती नदी में ३ दिन स्नान करने से, यमुना नदी में ७ दिन स्नान करने से और गंगा नदी में १ दिन स्नान करने से मनुष्य का पाप नष्ट हो जाता है; किंतु नर्मदा नदी के केवल दर्शन से ही मनुष्य के पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं ।

River Narmada originated at Amarkantak in the Anuppur District of Madhya Pradesh on Magh shukla paksha saptami during the reign of the Ashwini nakshatra, at 12 noon. So this day is celebrated as her Jayanti (birth anniversary).

By bathing in River Saraswati for three consecutive days, River Yamuna for seven consecutive days and in River Ganga for a day, man is cleansed of his sins but a mere vision of River Narmada cleanses him of his sins.

कोल्हापुर के श्री महालक्ष्मीदेवी मंदिर में देवी का किरणोत्सव ! 🌞

माघ मास में ३१ जनवरी, १ और २ फरवरी को होता है देवी का किरणोत्सव !

करवीर (कोल्हापुर), महाराष्ट्र के साडेतीन शक्तीपिठों में से पहला पीठ है । यहां श्री महालक्ष्मीदेवी सदैव वास करती है । श्री महालक्ष्मीदेवी का यह स्थान एक प्रसिद्ध जागृत शक्तीपीठ है ।

प्रतिवर्ष कार्तिक मास में लगभग ९, १० और ११ नवंबर को तीन दिन तथा माघ मास में ३१ जनवरी, १ और २ फरवरी को कोल्हापुर के श्री महालक्ष्मीदेवी मंदिर में देवी का किरणोत्सव मनाया जाता है । इस उत्सव के पहले दिन सूर्यास्त के समय सूर्यदेव की किरणें देवी के चरणों तक आती हैं, दूसरे दिन सूर्यदेव की किरणें देवी के मध्यभाग तक आती है तथा तीसरे दिन सूर्य-किरणें देवी की संपूर्ण मूर्ति को प्रकाशित करती हैं ।

🌸Bhakta Pundalik Punyatithi(31.1.2023)🌸

Once upon a time, Devi Rukhmini, displeased with Shrikrushna, left for the forest Dindir in Pandharpur. Shrikrushna started off in the search of Devi Rukhmini. He also wanted to test devotion of Pundalik towards his parents. Shrikrushna arrived in Pandharpur and stood at the entrance of Pundalik’s house. When He peeped in, He indeed saw Pundalik engrossed in the service of his parents. Despite seeing the Parabrahman Pandurang (One who is hungry for spiritual emotion and had left Heaven for its sake) Himself standing at his doorstep, leave aside rising to welcome Him, he did not even shift from his place.
