Khaled Barakat continues the interview with Resumen Latinoamericano, speaking about the Lebanese Resistance and its fight against zionist-imperialist aggression:
"The battle currently taking place in Lebanon is part of a broader and larger battle. It is part of a battle in the region. But what distinguishes the resistance in Lebanon is that it is a resistance with long experience in confronting the Israeli enemy, especially in south Lebanon. This resistance managed to liberate south Lebanon and expel the occupation from all Lebanese territories, except for some small areas like the Shebaa Farms and Kfar Chouba.
The resistance in Lebanon managed to impose rules of engagement in Lebanon's favor, deterring the Israeli enemy from attacking Lebanon from 2006 until 2024. However, after Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, or the October 7, 2023 operation, a series of changes occurred in the region.
The resistance in Lebanon sensed that the Israeli enemy's behavior in the war of extermination in Gaza meant Lebanon would be Israel's second target, committing massacres and genocide in Lebanon as well. This analysis is not based on emotions or feelings. It is based on information, including documented statements from leaders.
The resistance in Lebanon found itself preparing for a battle to defend Lebanon and itself. But the resistance in Lebanon was keen to agree, with many reservations, to the ceasefire in November 2025, sorry, November 2024, also out of concern for Lebanon and the Lebanese people. It gave ample room to the Lebanese state so that through diplomacy and political action, it could force Israel to withdraw from the occupied territories, especially the so-called five border points.
However, the Israeli-American aggression against Lebanon continued for 15 months. Israel destroyed more southern villages after the war than after the Qana massacre. The policy of assassinations did not stop for a single moment in Lebanon. According to UNIFIL, the multinational forces in Lebanon that monitor Israeli violations, more than 50,000 Israeli violations were recorded over 15 months.
Despite this, the resistance remained patient and did not fire a single bullet at the enemy, because, on one hand, it wanted to use the time to rebuild its strength, and on the other hand, it wanted to remove all pretexts held by the Israeli enemy or even by the resistance's opponents within Lebanon.
The Israeli enemy was surprised by the resistance's ability and speed in rebuilding itself, so much so that I can confirm that the resistance today is stronger than ever in Lebanon. The confrontations of the last month testify to this fact.
Hundreds of Israeli tanks and vehicles were destroyed, despite all attempts to push in additional Israeli forces just to breach a single town, the town of Khiam. The Israeli army fails to cross this town and fails to occupy the south. The resistance in Lebanon is strong, united, cohesive, and solid. Even if the Israeli enemy managed to occupy the south, it would not enjoy a single day of this occupation."

Hezbollah avenges the martyr Hind Rajab.
According to zionist media, IOF Colonel Daniel Ella, the commander of the 52nd Armored Battalion, was seriously injured during fierce clashes with Hezbollah resistance fighters in Bint Jbeil in South Lebanon.
This is the same battalion responsible for carrying out the terrorist attack that killed the child Hind Rajab (6 years old) in Gaza.
The Hind Rajab Foundation confirmed through its investigations that the 52nd Battalion of the “israeli” 401st Armored Brigade, led by IOF Colonel Daniel Ella, is directly responsible for the killing of the child Hind Rajab.
Glory to the martyrs and the resistance, who are not only taking revenge, but are continuously improving it.

Temporary Ceasefire: A Tactical Achievement for the Resistance Front in Lebanon and the Region
https://masarbadil.org/en/2026/04/8039/
The Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, declares that the temporary ceasefire in Lebanon is solely a direct outcome of the Resistance’s steadfastness and strikes. It represents a tactical achievement imposed by the will of confrontation on the ground, and a new indication of the Zionist occupation’s failure to break the forces of the Resistance or impose its conditions by force.
The enemy’s compulsion to accept a ceasefire, following a fierce round of aggression, clearly exposes the limits of its power and its inability to decisively win the battle, despite its destructive war machine and the open imperialist support it receives. The illusion of a “quick victory” has collapsed, and the enemy’s bets on subduing the peoples of the region and forcing them into submission have been shattered.
The movement affirms that this development must be understood with deep revolutionary awareness:
it does not mark the end of the battle, nor a final strategic shift, but rather a stage within an ongoing confrontation, shaped by the balance on the ground and the steadfastness of the fighters. It also warns of the temporary and conditional nature of this agreement, and of the enemy and its allies’ attempts to exploit it in order to constrain the Resistance and undermine its achievements.
The reaction of Zionist forces in occupied Palestine to the agreement, through their attacks on war criminal Netanyahu and their characterization of the ceasefire as a “betrayal”, reflects, on one hand, the fascistic nature of Zionist society, and on the other, a deep sense of failure and frustration.
What has taken place in Lebanon once again confirms that when peoples resist, they impose their own equations, and that the balance of power is not fixed, but is forged through revolutionary action and accumulated struggle.
The movement calls on the masses of our people and the free people of the Arab Nation to regard this round as an advanced step in a long path of confrontation, to escalate all forms of support for the Resistance, and to strengthen the unity of arenas in the face of the Zionist-imperialist project.

On April 17, 2026 — Palestinian Prisoners' Day — the Palestine Action Committee of Rosario, Argentina, hosted a special event featuring a live interview with liberated Palestinian prisoners, Nader Sadaqa and Othman Bilal.
The event was attacked by Zionists, who attempted to silence the event, to the extent that police stormed the union hall where the event was taking place in an attempt to intimidate the hosts and organizers into silencing these prisoners.
Despite these attempts, the event was a resounding success — with a packed room listening directly to the liberated prisoners and their message, and pledging to continue the struggle for the liberation of the prisoners, and the liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea.

Zionists have been attacking us online again, accusing today’s mutual aid fundraiser of being material support for terrorism. They have also written in the Jerusalem Post that by hosting freed Palestinian prisoner Read Abduljalil at Saturday’s culture fest, we are hosting a terrorist. Both claims are racist and untrue!
This comes amid increased fascist repression against our communities here in the US and genocidal campaigns in Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine. We understand that the only way to fight this repression is together!
We are calling on our community to show support for Palestine, Lebanon and our solidarity movement by showing up to tonight’s film screening and Palestinian Cultural Resistance Festival THIS Saturday April 25th, and donating to mutual aid efforts in southern Lebanon!
