Heads up: we recently added a new caching layer to SMASH which will make it more robust by reducing the load on the SMASH process. This does however mean that SPOs may experience a processing delay of up to 1 hour from metadata submission to their newly registered pool showing up on the server.
Heads up: earlier today we released Daedalus 3.3.1 to Testnet and Flight. Our goal here is to to test if hardware wallet support is working with upgraded dependencies/hw wallet libraries. We plan to push this to mainnet tomorrow. Hereβs a link to the release notes for reference: https://iohk.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/900004620286.

Quick heads up: After significant optimization work, node version 1.26 will largely mitigate the 48 hour performance issue.
Rewards calculations are no longer concentrated at this point in time. Weβll share share an update on release timelines with you next week.
Unrelated to this, we have enjoyed a significant growth in network transactions over the past 3 months, which brings increased memory pressure on smaller systems.
We therefore recommend that SPOs ensure that they have a min. 6 GB (preferably 8 GB), on all relays and block producing nodes, whether or not they upgrade to node 1.26.
We have updated our systems requirements to reflect this.

Now that the Mary hardfork has been successfully implemented on both the Cardano mainnet and testnet, we will be discontinuing the Allegra testnet and native token pre-production environments at 14:00 UTC on 26 March.
Please be advised that any configurations and data will no longer be available on those environments from this date, so you should make alternative plans now.

Earlier today we were alerted to an anomoly re deprecation of d which we have now looked into. So we just wanted to clarify the situation.
We remain committed to handing over full responsibility for block production to our SPO community at epoch 257 on D=0 day, Wednesday 31 March. We have therefore been deprecating D by a steady 0.02 per epochs since January to reach this goal.
However, for operational reasons, we were unable to submit a decrement of 0.02 in time to take effect in epoch 255, due to commence tomorrow evening UTC.
To adjust for this, we have therefore just submitted a decrement of 0.04 (4%) to take effect in epoch 256 on Friday 26 March. This will raise the decentralization %age directly from 94% to 98%. On 31 March, full 100% block decentralization will then take place as planned.
Thanks for your understanding in this and we hope this clarifies the situation.
