Supreme Court controls Lower Courts. Comment.
The Constitution envisages hierarchical control of the jurisdictional High Courts over the sub ordinate courts in the State. However some constitutional provisions ensures the authority of the Supreme Court over lower judiciary.
Art. 141 states that law declared by Supreme Court is binding on all courts and tribunals of the country. The expression all courts includes lower courts.
Art. 144 states that all civil and judicial authorities has to act in aid of Supreme Court. The expression all judicial authority include lower judiciary.
