#Cambodia-Thailand border conflict: Cambodia directly scolds Thailand: "Shameless!"

A spokesperson for the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to Cambodia's suspension of fruit and vegetable imports from Thailand by saying: "Good neighbors shouldn't do this."

This statement caused Cambodia to insult, and Hun Sen's spokesperson Chetidi directly scolded: "You are so shameless! You unilaterally closed the border. Is this the behavior of a good neighbor?

You are so shameless? You closed the border yourself and still wanted us to negotiate. It's really shameful."

#Thailand wants to build the Las Vegas of Southeast Asia?

The Thai government is promoting a major plan: to build an integrated entertainment resort, intending to create an international entertainment center similar to #Singapore Marina Bay or even Las Vegas

At present, international giants such as #Wynn, #MGM, #Melco, and #Galaxy Entertainment have expressed their willingness to invest billions of dollars to win the project!

The president of MGM International Development stated that the company is ready to invest 3-5 billion US dollars in Bangkok. But this huge investment has a prerequisite: Thailand needs to set the gambling tax at 17%, which is the same as Singapore, but much lower than Macau (40%) and Japan (30%).

Wynn Group (Wynn) senior management has met with the deputy minister of the Thai Ministry of Finance to discuss in depth the details of Thailand's "Entertainment Complex" management bill, which is expected to be submitted to the Thai Parliament for deliberation in July 2025.

#Cambodia News Hong Manai hits back at Thai media for using online fraud to smear Cambodia: Thailand itself is also "not clean"

As the Cambodia-Thailand border dispute continues to heat up, some Thai media frequently use the "#Internet fraud" issue to hype and attack Cambodia, deliberately smearing Cambodia's national image, which has aroused strong dissatisfaction from the Cambodian side.

Prime Minister Hong Manai responded publicly today (June 17): It is clear that the problem of online fraud is not unique to Cambodia, Thailand itself is also "not clean", and has no right to accuse and smear Cambodia.

Hong Manai pointed out: Online fraud crimes are not only in Cambodia, many countries in the region are facing similar challenges, and Thailand itself is also "not clean".

"They have these problems themselves, but they magnify and blame Cambodia and other neighboring countries." Hong Manai said.

#Cambodia News Thailand is the biggest cybercrime haven in Southeast Asia!

Cambodian media Fresh News published an editorial article today, pushing back against Thailand's accusation that Cambodia is the world's center of cyber fraud.

The article says, "In fact, from Bangkok to the Myanmar border, Thailand is now the center of international cybercrime. Cyber fraud, cross-border human trafficking, and collaboration with criminal syndicates all take place within Thailand's borders, and these have been exposed by the global media."

The article cites the Wang Sing case, as well as the Australian handicapping case that was solved by Thai police not long ago, as an example of how Thailand is the center of organized cybercrime in Southeast Asia.

The article said, "But the irony is that despite Thailand's own deep involvement in international cybercrime scandals, Thai officials are trying to paint themselves as a squeaky-clean country by fabricating allegations against neighboring countries to avoid responsibility. Such behavior is not only against the goodwill of the ASEAN community, but also a worrying political tactic."

The article quoted Cambodia's Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Chea Vande as saying, "Cambodia has never supported or opened the way for cybercriminal activities. The Royal Government of Cambodia has always been committed to integrity, transparency, and adherence to the rule of law and international standards."

Warmly stated: please watch your words, Cambodia is the financial center of Southeast Asia, not a crime center.

#ThailandInfo | Thai government officially announced the decriminalization of marijuana!

On June 24th, Thailand's Health Minister Somsak officially signed a proclamation announcing the reclassification of Cannabis sativa as a controlled herb, marking the official cancellation of Thailand's marijuana legalization policy.

The announcement pointed out that due to the lack of clear legal regulation, in order to prevent abuse, future commercial research, sales and exports involving cannabis inflorescences are subject to licensing and strict reporting of sources and uses.

The announcement also prohibits the sale of cannabis products in public places such as temples, dormitories and parks, as well as online sales and commercial advertising.

The proclamation is effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and replaces the old regulation issued in 2022.

“Open Door Not Released?” Cambodia rebukes Thailand's false opening, real dumping

According to Cambodian media sources, in response to Thailand's recent statement claiming to reopen the border crossing, Cambodian Ministry of the Interior spokesman Do Sokha published a long article through the official Facebook on June 25, harshly criticizing the Thai side of the “open door and not release” approach, directly referring to its political means to cover up the internal crisis and transfer the conflict, and urging the Thai side to stop the unfounded accusations of the Cambodian side. Dusitka pointed out that although Thailand's foreign policy has not been fully implemented, it is not a good idea for the Thai government to open the door to Cambodia.

Dusitka pointed out that despite Thailand's foreign claims to have opened the border crossing, but the actual implementation of the strict restrictions on the movement of people, customs clearance procedures nearly stagnant, only “form of openness”, the actual “closure has not been resolved”. He said sarcastically that the Thai side of the move is just an “open door show”, by posing for pictures and superficial articles to create “openness illusion” at home and abroad, but in essence, trying to shift the responsibility for border tensions to the Cambodian side.

He further pointed out that the Thai government is currently facing political pressure from many sides, including the Yellow Shirts, youth groups, opposition forces and the military's wide-ranging skepticism. Against the backdrop of growing internal unrest, the Thai side's intention to divert focus by speculating on the border issue not only misleads the international community, but also violates Cambodia's legitimate rights and interests.

Dusitka emphasized that the so-called “opening” of the border has no legal or diplomatic effect if it is done without official announcements and press conferences, and only by telephone communication and unilateral operation. He called on the Thai government to clarify its border policy by taking an official national position rather than misleading public opinion with vague statements.

He concluded by stating that Cambodia has always adhered to the principles of peaceful coexistence, good-neighbourliness and mutual benefit, and is willing to resolve disputes through constructive dialogue, but will never accept to be used as a “scapegoat” for the political struggles of other countries. He sternly reminded the Thai side: “Do not underestimate Cambodia's position and bottom line.”
