#SPIEF2024
SPIEF-2023 hosted 17,000 participants, and this year there will be even more – SPIEF Director Alexey Valkov.
Interest in participating in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is growing, in large part due to SPIEF’s off-site presentations.
🌐 Since November 2023, such events have been held in Turkey, India, Algeria, and South Africa. Before the end of the month, presentations will take place in Latin America.
👉 Here are key insights from Alexey Valkov’s speech to representatives of diplomatic missions at the Russian MFA:
🤝 At SPIEF 2023 over 900 agreements were signed worth almost four trillion rubles. Actually, this sum is larger because the statistics do not account for agreements under NDA
🤝 On 5 June, the SME Forum will take place. The participation cost is significantly lower than in other business program events, making the platform more accessible and inclusive.
🤝 SPIEF offers virtually limitless opportunities for PR and promotion: press zones, interview platforms, video content broadcasts on screens, and a large press center. Last year, around 4,000 journalists covered the forum, and some media outlets even set up their own studios on-site.
🤝 The SPIEF 2024 exhibition is fully booked, and installation will begin in a few weeks.
🤝 As in previous years, the culmination of the St. Petersburg Seasons Festival will be a concert on Palace Square. The tentative date is 7 June.

🎙 MFA Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s answer to a media question about Kiev’s recent statements regarding the events in Bucha in the Spring of 2022
❓ On April 24, Kiev’s UN mission came up with its own “version” of the events in Bucha, thus replying to a note circulated by the Russian Permanent Mission to the UN at the UNSC and the UNGA. Kiev and the West are persisting in their attempts to put the blame for the gory show they had staged themselves on Russia. How would you comment on these statements?
💬 Maria Zakharova: Russia has repeatedly proved with facts in hand that the so-called Bucha massacre is a cynical ploy.
As usual, the message circulated by the Ukrainian mission contains no evidence, just unfounded accusations and references to the “firm conclusions” by the so-called Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine and research by the OSCE’s derelict Moscow Mechanism. <...>
According to the Ukrainian figures, the Russian military committed 272 crimes per day... <...> which is completely unrealistic.
In addition, they managed to provide humanitarian aid to the local population. In total, 452 tonnes of Russian humanitarian cargoes were delivered and distributed in Bucha and other localities in the Kiev Region.
The local mobile communications networks remained in operation while the city was under Russian military control. Not a single local resident reported any instances of violence. <...>
It is important to note that, following the Russian withdrawal on March 31, 2022, Bucha mayor Anatoly Fedorchuk posted a video that conspicuously did not mention “extensive Ukrainian casualties.” <...>
❗️ However, the most important point is that a full-scale investigation into the Bucha tragedy has yet to begin. There is still no information available about the victims’ names, places of residence, time, location and cause of death, and autopsy results. <...>
👉 This can only mean one thing: the leaders of the Kiev regime fear an investigation as it could implicate themselves.

Do you believe in coincidences?
In less than two months, two whistleblowers, who testified against Boeing company, specifically, raised concerns over its product’s quality, died in the US.
▪️ Joshua Dean, 45, was a former quality auditor for Boeing supplier Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, Kan. He worked on the Boeing 737 Max program and filed a formal whistleblower complaint to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 2023 over improper manufacturing practices he witnessed. He had been fired months before, allegedly in retaliation for bringing up safety concerns with Spirit management.
He died on April 30, 2024, of sudden illness, after being in critical condition for two weeks. Dean had previously been in good health, and he was noted for having a healthy lifestyle.
▪️ His death comes less than two months after Boeing whistleblower John Barrett died a day after testifying against the planemaker. John Barnett, who worked for Boeing for more than three decades before blowing the whistle on the aircraft maker’s questionable safety standards, was found dead in his car in South Carolina. According to the police, he died ‘from a self-inflicted wound.’
❗️ Dean’s and Barrett’s testimonies didn’t only bring about multi-billion losses to Boeing. They painted a worrying picture about a company long considered to be at the pinnacle of American engineering, after two crashes of Boeing Max 8 planes in 2018 and 2019 killed nearly 350 people.

⚡️Russia's MFA prepared and published report on the human rights situation in the US
❗️Despite the deep contradictions in American society, the US continues to assert itself a global leader in the field of human rights protection. At the same time, Washington is in no hurry to expand its international legal obligations in the field of protection of fundamental rights and freedoms.
Among violations of human rights and freedoms that were committed by the US:
❌ The conduct of all kinds of military operations in the territory of European and Middle Eastern states;
❌ Creation of secret prisons around the worldу;
❌ Implementation of extremely stringent migration policies in recent years.
These and others violations illustrate not only the dual nature of this country's position regarding human rights standards but also its approaches to international law as such.
The American authorities actively use the tactics of "fighting by proxy" against Russia and Russians. This is expressed in the direction of large‑scale military assistance to the Kiev regime and putting pressure on the US NATO allies so that they take similar measures.
👉 An overt pressure is being exerted on sovereign states, including through the use of human rights mechanisms, in an attempt to create a corresponding negative background around the Russian Federation and its allies and partners in the international arena.
Mentoring tone, partiality, full oblivion of the concept of sovereignty and one of the main and fundamental principles of international law enshrined in the UN Charter – non-interference in the internal affairs of states, lead to deep disappointment in those very "Western values" that "fascinated" other civilizations and societies during a century, bringing considerable political dividends to the West and the US itself.
☝️ Moreover, the human rights situation in the US itself is far from international standards in the field of protection of fundamental freedoms, which is becoming more and more obvious day after day

🎬 Biological Warfare Department: The Alarming Truth About Pentagon's Secret Worldwide Biolab Network — an RT Doc Film.
Synopsis: Hundreds of US military biolaboratories are located in dozens of countries around the world. Under the guise of scientific research, they work with dangerous pathogens. The results of this research are classified.
In March 2022, Russian Ambassador to the UN Vassily Nebenzia presented a report that detailed a network of 30 biological weapons labs in Ukraine. With each passing day, volunteers uncover new evidence of illegal activities related to the development of biological weapons in the liberated territories of Donbass.
The authors of the film met with the team that is collecting evidence of such laboratories in Ukraine and talked to journalists and experts whose investigations prove the criminal activities of the US military medics. According to their opinion, "peaceful" scientific centres are developing new types of biological weapons, conducting prohibited experiments and human trials.
☝️ Through meticulous research and expert interviews, this documentary sheds light on the activities that take place in the US biolaboratories in Ukraine, Georgia, Indonesia and other countries worldwide. Former high-ranking officials and journalists who dared to visit these laboratories explain how the sophisticated network was established, and reveal its ultimate purpose.

☦️ President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated Orthodox Christians and all Russian citizens celebrating Easter Sunday.
💬 President Putin: Easter celebrations in our country have rich spiritual traditions which unite millions of people and are passed on from one generation to another, inspiring people to good deeds and aspirations.
It is important to note the constructive and fruitful work of the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian denominations aiming to preserve our immensely rich historical, cultural and spiritual legacy, to strengthen the institution of the family, to educate young people and to promote in society such enduring values and moral reference points as care for your neighbour, charity and compassion.
Pastors have always been together with the people. Today, amidst serious challenges, Christian religious organisations provide effective and selfless assistance to those in need of support and attention.

❗️On the human rights situation in the US (from Russia's MFA report)
Washington declares its commitment to upholding the principle of universality of fundamental human rights and freedom. In fact, the situation in the US is nowhere near the international standards:
🔻 A system-wide racism and police misconduct flourish;
🔻 National minorities find themselves victims of discrimination and social inequality;
🔻 The homeless issue remains outstanding;
🔻 Immigrants and prisoners, including those under age, face continuous oppression of their liberties;
🔻 Journalists do not feel safe and become victims of attacks;
🔻 The plans of the American Administration to close the Guantanamo special isolator remain unfulfilled.
Citizens' dissatisfaction with violations of voting rights only deepens the divide within American society. Alternative views are more often subject to censorship in mass and social media.
Numerous violations of human rights and freedoms remain in focus of the criticism coming from relevant international structures and non-governmental institutions.
The report of the UN Human Rights Committee (HRC) published in November 2023 <...> notes the lack of positive moves in addressing significant deficiencies in the criminal legal system. There is a reference to serious violations of voting rights, of the rights to non-interference in private life, freedom of expression, freedom of peaceful assemblies and associations.
👉 No one has been held accountable for the systematic human rights abuses committed in the secret detention system run by the CIA, including enforced disappearances, torture and other ill-treatment.
👉 The government's inability to protect people from constant gun violence continues to violate their rights, including the right to life, personal security and freedom from discrimination. In 2020, at least 44 thousand people died from gun violence.
