What is known about new Vityaz anti-drone vehicle being built for Russia's special forces

A new light military utility vehicle that may help keep reconnaissance units and special operations teams safe from enemy drones is currently being developed in Russia.

According to Konstantin Bagdasarov, CEO of Argo, the company that developed Vityaz, new anti-drone vehicle can be employed to provide additional protection for recon units when they deploy towards the front line.

✔️ The new vehicle is based on the design of the UAZ 469 off-road military utility vehicle and has a 100 horsepower engine with a torque output of 250 Nm.

✔️ The vehicle’s chief anti-drone defense comes in the form of the Volnorez, a compact modular electronic countermeasure system that weighs only 13 kilograms. Volnorez is specifically designed to be easy to use and easy to reprogram in case the enemy changes its drones’ frequencies.

✔️ Vityaz can also be equipped with an anti-aircraft machine gun mount with a co-axial KPV heavy machine gun.

The first prototype is nearly finished and is expected to be sent for field testing soon.

📆 80 years ago, #OTD in 1944, Pskov was liberated from Nazi occupation as part of the Pskov-Ostrov operation.

It was carried out by the troops of the 3rd Baltic Front of the Red Army against Wehrmacht’s 18th Army and the 1st Air Fleet.

⚔️ By the beginning of the operation, Soviet troops defeated the Nazi forces of the Army Group ‘North’ as a result of the Leningrad-Novgorod strategic offensive, making them retreat to the Panther-Wotan defensive line.

⚔️ In mid-summer 1944, given the success of the operation ‘Bagration’ in Belorussia and the looming defeat of the Army Group ‘Centre’, Soviet command decided to carry out 3 coordinated offensives in the Baltic region – the Narva, the Rezhitsa-Dvina and the Pskov-Ostrov operations.

The latter kicked off on 11 July 1944.

🌟 During the operation, Soviet troops breached Nazi defence at the Panther-Wothan line, defeated the enemy’s grouping and took over the massive Pskov-Ostrov stronghold. Successful outcome of the operation facilitated Soviet advance on the Baltic and Leningrad directions.

🕊 The day of liberation from Nazi invaders – 23 July – is currently celebrated in Pskov as the City Day.

☀️South African students took part in the annual “Summer University” project held at the Ural Federal University.

🎤One of the participants, Valerie Siyabonga from the University of the Witwatersrand, shared with us her impressions:

“Yekaterinburg, the city, surprised me with its beauty and warmth. From the stunning architecture to the vibrant cultural scene, there's so much to explore and discover. I loved strolling along the Iset River, visiting the Church on the Blood, and enjoying the local cuisine.

The economic and management course was informative and engaging, with knowledgeable professors and interactive sessions. But it was the interactions with fellow participants that truly enriched my experience. I had the privilege of meeting and learning from individuals from over 5 countries, each with their unique perspectives and insights.

The program's focus on cultural immersion and exchange was exceptional. From language classes to traditional dance workshops, we were encouraged to embrace the local culture and share our own traditions with others. The organisers did an outstanding job of creating a welcoming environment, making us feel like a global family.”

👏It is the first time when South Africans take part in the project. We hope to engage even more students next year. Learn more about the project at: https://clck.ru/3BrXuS

🇷🇺 Development of children's infrastructure in the new regions of Russia

🕊 With the support of the Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights, three youth centers have been established in Belovodsk, Mariupol, and Makeevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. These centers offer engaging and beneficial activities for children.

Additionally, they oversee the "Parents' Lounge" initiative and host monthly meetings with child-rearing experts.

🕊 In December 2023, thanks to the Commissioner's backing, a day care center for children with disabilities opened in Lugansk. Here, parents can bring their children for several hours, allowing them some respite to attend to personal matters.

🕊 In June 2024, the Regional Centre for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical, and Social Assistance in Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, was selected as one of 15 winners in the All-Russian grant competition "Centres of New Opportunities."

Each winner will receive up to 2 million rubles to establish a new, supportive environment for children with disabilities. The competition, conducted in collaboration with the Charitable Foundation "Country for Children," aims to launch this space by the end of 2024.

✍️ President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 6th Russia–China Energy Business Forum (July 23, 2024)

💬 Relations between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China continue to develop along the lines of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation. One of the most important aspects of these relations is traditionally our energy cooperation, which has grown especially vigorous and productive in the past years.

🇷🇺🇨🇳 Bilateral cooperation in the oil-and-gas, coal and electric power sectors is systematically expanding. The supply of Russian energy resources to China has reached record-breaking levels. Specialists from our countries are working together to improve technologies for extracting, processing and transporting these commodities, and to increase their environmental safety.

The Russia-China Energy Business Forum, which brings together representatives of relevant government agencies and business and expert communities, plays a crucial role in this, enabling a direct and constructive dialogue on bilateral cooperation agenda in these important sectors. I would like to mention one of its most recent projects, "the Investment Atlas of Russian-Chinese Energy Cooperation" – a unique information and analysis platform that opens up new opportunities for implementing mutually beneficial joint projects and initiatives.

🤝 I am confident that the work of this forum will be fruitful, while the ideas and proposals put forward by its participants will be put into practice.

#KievRegimeCrimes

❗️ The Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large on the Kiev Regime's War Crimes, Rodion Miroshnik continues to record the most heinous crimes of the Kiev regime.

▪️ In the first six months of 2024, at least 2,547 civilians suffered from the actions of the Kiev regime, prone to taking out its anger on them. As many as 2,082 civilians received wounds of varying severity and 465 were killed.

The number of shells that were fired by the Ukrainian militants at Russian purely civil facilities in 11 Russian territories adjacent to the frontline over half a year approaches the mark of 42,000 – there were 41,706 of them – 230 hits per day.

🔺 It is noteworthy that the second quarter of this year saw a qualitative change in the types of the weapons that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) use against Russian civil facilities. More and more often artillery shells are replaced by explosive missiles of longer range and UAVs of various types. This has entailed an increase in the number of victims and the scale of destruction.

Nonetheless, the shells of NATO’s 155mm caliber that the UAF use are still in the lead in terms of how many civilians were killed and injured and civil facilities were fired at with them. These are the very shells that the Czech Republic is so diligently collecting across the world right now, allegedly to enhance Ukraine’s defence.

📖 Read the digest of April-June 2024, which includes photographic evidence and informational materials on the most brutal and cynical crimes committed by the Kiev regime in Russian regions.

📹 Watch Rodion Miroshnik's briefing, during which facts about the most high-profile violations of international humanitarian law by the Kiev regime and its sponsors in the first half of 2024 were presented.
