⚡️⚡️ The first US-supplied M1A1 ‘Abrams’ tank destroyed by the Russian military in the neighbourhood of Avdeyevka – DPR official

Either to boost the morale of Ukraine’s army, or due to an overall lack of armors, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to send much touted ‘Abrams’ closer to the front line. Where it was spotted by soldiers of Russia’s 15th separate motorized rifle brigade. The tank was reportedly hit by a suicide drone and then finished off with an RPG.

💪 Russian soldiers confirm that ‘Abrams’ burn just like many other Western-supplied vehicles. Good start!
⚡️ Four Colombian ‘wild geese’ eliminated in Ukraine in a Russian strike on Kiev-controlled city of Kurakhovo, Donetsk People’s Republic.

Mercenaries’ names are Wilmer Martinez Vasquez (callsign Hitman), William Gamboa Vergel (callsign Caqueta), Robinson Nerio Sánchez (callsign Mortal), and Alvaro Antonio Alvarez Ariza (callsign Barbas).

Their bodies have been retrieved. Now their families need to raise $15,000 each for repatriation.

☝️ Russian Defence Ministry repeatedly pointed out that the Kiev regime uses mercenaries as ‘cannon fodder,’ and Russian troops will continue eliminate them across the entire territory of Ukraine.

Many of foreigners who had come to fight for money on Kiev’s side admitted in numerous interviews that Ukraine military coordinate their actions rather poorly, and chances to survive the battles are slim.

✍️ President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the military personnel and veterans of the Special Operations Forces.

President Putin:

💬 Special Operations Forces’ units have proven in practice that they are ready, at the first order, to defend the Motherland and protect Russia’s national interests anywhere in the world.

You defended the people of Crimea and Sevastopol from the threats of nationalists and punitive forces, performed brilliantly in the fight against terrorism in Syria, and today you are showing examples of heroism and courage in battles against neo-Nazis.

☝️ We will continue to strengthen the Special Operations Forces, increase their mobility and strike potential, equip them with cutting-edge weapons and gear. Let me emphasise that this is a key priority for the long-term development of the Army and Navy.

🤝 I thank all the personnel and veterans for their honest, conscientious military service and personal courage, for their loyalty to their oath and duty.

🌐 On February 21-22, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov took part in the G20 Ministerial meeting in Rio de Janeiro, the first such meeting held as part of Brazil’s chairmanship in this key forum of global economic governance.

👉 Read in full

Speaking on the G20’s role in overcoming current international tensions, Sergey Lavrov presented Russia’s detailed assessments of the geopolitical situation noting the West’s deliberate policy to maintain its dominance by containing new centres of power, eroding the coordinating function of the UN and the primacy of the universal provisions of international law, and substituting them with restricted-participation alliances and an obscure rules-based order. <...>

The principled Russian policy to preserve the #G20 as a key global economic forum that is free from politicisation and is not authorised to interfere in matters of international peace and security to the detriment of the prerogatives of the UN Security Council was reaffirmed.

❗️In this context, the unacceptability of attempts to lead the discussion away from the real challenges that plague the global economy through the Ukrainisation of the G20 agenda was emphasised <...>.

In light of shifts in the balance of power and the rise of new global growth centres, the participants paid special attention to the importance of democratising the global governance system by expanding the rights of the Global South in proportion to its actual weight in the international arena. <...>

The minister noted the importance of considering the objective trend towards the greater global economic role of associations such as #BRICS, the #SCO, #ASEAN, the #EAEU, the African Union, the Arab League, and #CELAC in G20 activities.. <...>

🤝 Sergey Lavrov held a number of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Türkiye, South Africa, Egypt, Bolivia, Brazil, Mexico and Paraguay on the sidelines of the G20 Ministerial Meeting.
