Накануне Дня Победы в Эль-Кувейте состоялась ставшая доброй традицией акция «Бессмертный полк». Деятельный вклад в ее проведение внес Координационный совет страновой Организации соотечественников. В мероприятии приняли участие проживающие здесь наши сограждане, выпускники советских/российских вузов, представители росдипмиссии. Преемственность поколений подчеркивало присутствие вместе со взрослыми множества детей разных возрастов. Сопровождалась акция памяти музыкально-поэтической классикой военных лет.

On May 8, the day before Victory Day, the "Immortal Regiment" traditional commemorative event was held in Kuwait City. The memorial gathering devoted to the 79th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war was organized by the Russian Compatriots Organization of Kuwait. Our citizens, graduates of Soviet / Russian universities and representatives of the Russian Embassy attended the event. Many children of different ages participated along with their parents showcasing intergenerational continuity. The memorial gathering was accompanied by musical and poetic classics of the war years, which made the atmosphere truly special.
9 мая в Посольстве России в Кувейте состоялся торжественный памятный вечер, приуроченный к 79-й годовщине Победы в Великой Отечественной войне. Среди участников – послы и старшие должностные лица диппредставительств стран СНГ (Азербайджана, Армении, Казахстана, Киргизии, Таджикистана и Узбекистана), актив наших соотечественников, выпускники советских/российских вузов. С приветственным словом к гостям обратился Посол России в Кувейте В.Ф.Желтов. Прием прошел в подчеркнуто тёплой, дружеской атмосфере. Особый характер общению в день Великой Победы придавало исполнение вживую музыкальной классики военных лет.

On May 9, the Russian Embassy in Kuwait hosted a commemorative evening dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war. Among those present were ambassadors and senior officials of diplomatic missions of the CIS countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan), our compatriots and graduates of Soviet / Russian universities. Ambassador of Russia to Kuwait H.E. Mr. Vladimir Zheltov addressed participants with a speech. The event was held in an emphatically warm, friendly atmosphere. A live performance of the wartime music classics made the Victory Day event truly special and memorable.

С красочными музыкально-театральными приветствиями выступили ученические коллективы разных возрастов. Особенно трогательно смотрелись первоклашки. Теплые напутственные слова прозвучали от педагогов. К выпускникам и их родителям обратился Посол России В.Ф.Желтов.
On May 26, the “Last bell” traditional ceremony was held by the Russian School at the Embassy of Russia in Kuwait. Students of different ages presented lively musical and theatrical performances. First graders’ performance was especially touching. The teachers said heart-warming farewell words to their students. H.E. Ambassador of Russia to Kuwait Mr. Vladimir Zheltov addressed the school graduates and their parents with a speech.

🗓 On May 30, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with the heads of the diplomatic missions of Arab countries in Moscow.
The participants engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on the developments in the Middle East with a focus on an unprecedented escalation in the area of Palestinian-Israeli confrontation which has led to immeasurable suffering of the Gaza Strip civilians.

🤝 The representatives from the Arab States expressed their gratitude for Russia’s energetic efforts, including in the UN Security Council, aimed at ending the bloodshed in the area of Palestinian-Israeli confrontation, delivering humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip and comprehensively normalising the situation in the Middle East.
Sergey Lavrov and the ambassadors from the Arab countries reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of Moscow and the capitals of the League of Arab States members to further coordinate the steps designed to establish a comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East based on the principles of international law and the provisions of the UN Charter.

В ходе диалога состоялся углублённый обмен мнениями о развитии ситуации на Ближнем Востоке с упором на беспрецедентную эскалацию в зоне палестино-израильского противостояния, которая привела к неисчислимым страданиям гражданского населения сектора Газа.

Главой МИД России было отмечено, что выдвижение различных мирных концепций и расширение круга стран, признавших Государство Палестина, свидетельствуют о крепнущей позиции мирового большинства в пользу скорейшего справедливого решения палестинской проблемы как главной предпосылки долгосрочной стабилизации на Ближнем Востоке.
