🇰🇼On February 14-22, the “Kuwait SWAT Elite International Competition” was held in Kuwait. Around 20 international teams participated in the event.
🇷🇺Russia was represented by the 604th Special Purpose Unit “Vityaz” of the Russian National Guard’s Forces.
🇷🇺🏅Russian commandos took the second place in the final ranking, finishing only a few points behind the team of the host country, Kuwait. Nevertheless, the Russian Special Forces’ unit won in the final and the most entertaining challenge of the competition – the obstacle course. The competition gained major attention from the local audience as well as from the diplomatic missions. Representatives of the Russian Embassy in Kuwait cheered for the Russian national team.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov participated in the conference "Euromaidan: Ukraine's Lost Decade" in Moscow (February 16, 2024):
The event focused on the economic and political conditions of events in Ukraine in 2013-2014 and the preparation of the so-called Euromaidan unrest.
During the press conference, Foreign Minister Lavrov emphasized the control exerted from abroad in directing the conflict's strategy, highlighting Ukraine's economic struggles over the past decade and criticizing its leadership as internationally recognized beggars.
"In the last decade, Ukraine has become the poorest nation in Europe and the authorities in Kiev have turned into internationally recognised beggars," Lavrov said.

🔹Участниками военно-дипломатического мероприятия стали порядка 200 человек. Главные гости представляли Генеральный Штаб Вооруженных Сил Кувейта. Среди приглашенных – деятели общественно-политических кругов, делового сообщества и дружественного дипкорпуса. Заметным было присутствие представителей кувейтских медиа.
🔹Проводившееся на посольской «площадке» мероприятие по традиции с нами разделили российские соотечественники из странового координационного совета, а также выпускники советских/российских вузов различных поколений.
🇷🇺С приветственным словом к гостям обратился военный, военно-воздушный и военно-морской атташе полковник А.В.Шматов.
🇷🇺🇰🇼 С учетом внешнеполитического преломления чествования Дня защитника Отечества в Кувейте в условиях нынешней глобальной турбулентности мероприятие получило соответствующий отклик в медиа-ресурсах.

🔹وقد افتتح حفل الاستقبال بكلمة ترحيبية ألقاها الملحق العسكري والجوي والبحري العقيد أليكسي شماتوف.
