قام سعادة سفير روسيا الاتحادية لدى دولة الكويت السيد فلاديمير جيلتوف بزيارة إلى مركز ريكونسنس للبحوث والدراسات حيث شارك في حلقة نقاشية مع الخبراء الكويتيين. وكان النقاش مثمرًا والقى الضوء على مواقف روسيا الاتحادية من عدة قضايا إقليمية ودولية ذات أهمية كبرى.
تطرق سعادة السفير إلى الفوارق الجوهرية بين الأدوار التاريخية والمعاصرة للقوى الكبرى في المنطقة، مع التركيز بشكل خاص على الاختلافات بين النهج الأمريكي والبريطاني مقابل النهج الروسي. كما أعرب عن موقف روسيا الثابت في دعم القضية الفلسطينية ونقده للمحاولات الغربية لتغيير المبادئ الأساسية للسلام في الشرق الأوسط، لا سيما عبر اتفاقيات إبراهيم التي تقوض مبدأ إقامة دولة فلسطينية مستقلة.

H.E. Ambassador of Russia to Kuwait Mr. Vladimir Zheltov visited the local think tank –Reconnaissance Research Center where he participated in a panel discussion with Kuwaiti experts. The discussion was fruitful and shed light on the Russian Federation’s positions on several major regional and international issues.
Ambassador Zheltov discussed the fundamental differences between the historical and contemporary roles of major powers in the region, with a particular focus on the differences between the American and British approaches versus the Russian approach. He also expressed Russia’s steadfast position in supporting the Palestinian cause and criticized Western attempts to change the basic principles of peace in the Middle East, especially through the Abraham Accords, which undermine the principle of establishing an independent Palestinian state.
Regarding the Ukrainian crisis, Ambassador Zheltov expressed Russia’s broader and more comprehensive view on the concept of Western intervention in the internal affairs of states and the stirring of manageable chaos in an attempt to contain rising powers hostile to Western policies aimed at maintaining American dominance in the world while a new multipolar world order is emerging.
The race for global supremacy and the rising role of China and BRICS as new competing powers were focal points in the discussion. His Excellency emphasized that Russia, with its rich natural resources, is not in need of competing for energy resources in the Middle East, directing attention towards enhancing relations and Russia’s strong presence in areas of importance to Russia’s strategic and security interests, specifically in the regions like Eastern Europe.
In his turn, the Founder and CEO of Reconnaissance Research Abdulaziz Al-Anjeri, expressed his appreciation for Ambassador’s participation, stating: “Cooperation with the Russian side represents a valuable contribution that enhances our understanding of international dynamics and their impact on regional issues.”
He added: “We look forward to hosting more discussions that bring together Russian experts and officials to promote dialogue that serves peace and stability in the region.”

5 февраля в Эль-Кувейте на одной из ведущих гостиничных «площадок» состоялась презентация туристического потенциала российской столицы. Организатором специализированной бизнес-миссии в эмират выступил Комитет по туризму города Москвы в координации с кувейтскими партнерами и при деятельном содействии роспосольства. Участие в мероприятии приняли представители 130 кувейтских и российских туристических компаний, а также местных и региональных авиаперевозчиков. Весомым было присутствие блогерского и журналистского сообществ.
Презентация столичного турпотенциала была представлена в запоминающемся интерактивном формате под запросы туристов из Кувейта и других стран Персидского залива. Программу продолжило деловое общение представителей туриндустрии двух стран. Налаженные по итогам контактов прямые бизнес-связи призваны способствовать популяризации российского направления и в целом росту въездного туризма из эмирата в Россию, который за прошедший 2023 год увеличился шестикратно.
С приветственным словом к участникам мероприятия обратился Посол России в Кувейте В.Ф.Желтов.
On February 5, 2024 the Moscow city Roadshow for the travel industry was held at one of Kuwait city’s top hotels. The business event was organized by the Moscow city tourism committee and their Kuwaiti partners with support from the Embassy of Russia in Kuwait. Around 130 Kuwaiti and Russian travel agencies and companies were in attendance, as well as representatives of local and regional air carriers. Prominent bloggers and journalists also participated in the event.
Moscow’s tourist potential was presented in a memorable and interactive format tailored to the needs of tourists from Kuwait and other countries of the Gulf. The program was continued by business meetings between representatives of the travel industry of the two countries. New direct business ties shall contribute to further growth of the flow of tourists from Kuwait to Russia, which has already increased sixfold during the past year.

• I proposed that the US, Russia and Europe jointly create a missile defense system that, we believe, if created unilaterally, threatens our security. <...> In the end they just told us to get lost. Our proposal was declined, that’s a fact.
• In 2008 the doors of NATO were opened for Ukraine. In 2014, there was a coup, they started persecuting those who did not accept the coup, and it was indeed a coup, they created a threat to Crimea which we had to take under our protection. They launched a war in Donbass in 2014 with the use of aircraft and artillery against civilians. This is when it started.
❗️ And what triggered the latest events? Firstly, the current Ukrainian leadership declared that it would not implement the Minsk Agreements. <...> A year or a year and a half ago, former leaders of Germany and France said openly to the whole world that they indeed signed the Minsk Agreements but they never intended to implement them. They simply led us by the nose.
•After we withdrew our troops from Kiev, the other side (Ukraine) threw away all these agreements and obeyed the instructions of Western countries, European countries and the US to fight Russia to the bitter end.
❓ Wouldn't it be better to negotiate with Russia? Make an agreement, already understanding the situation that is developing today, realizing that Russia will fight for its interests to the end. And, realizing this, actually return to common sense, start respecting our country and its interests and look for certain solutions. It seems to me that this is much smarter and more rational.

• Где бы вы ни трудились – в центральном здании МИД на Смоленской площади, территориальных представительствах в регионах Российской Федерации или в российских загранучреждениях – везде вы свято храните истинные ценности отечественной дипломатии: верность Отчизне, патриотизм, самоотдачу и чёткое понимание национальных интересов.
• В условиях развязанной «коллективным Западом» гибридной агрессии внешнеполитическая служба вносит свой вклад в дипломатическое сопровождение специальной военной операции и достижение её целей.
• Да, нам порой бывает непросто, противники используют наработанные столетиями методы демонизации России и не гнушаются даже личными нападками на многих из вас. Так было всегда, когда Россия твёрдо вставала на защиту своих интересов и интересов своих союзников.
