اليوم التقى القائم بأعمال سفير روسيا في اليمن د.يفغيني كودروف مع رئيس بعثة الأمم المتحدة لدعم اتفاق الحديدة اللواء مايكل بيري في السفارة الروسية. ناقشا الجانبان بالتفاصيل الوضع العام في الحديدة وضواحيها وكذلك الجهود الدولية خاصة جهود الأمم المتحدة الرامية الى دفع تسوية سلمية في اليمن.
من جانبه شدد د.كودروف على أهمية الحفاظ على السلام والاستقرار في محافظة الحديدة، خاصة في ضوء الأمر الحاسم للتشغيل السلس لموانئ هذه المدينة الرئيسية في ظل التصعيد الحالي في البحر الأحمر.

📝 في 6 من يونيو يُحتفل بعيد اللغة الروسية. في مثل هذا اليوم من عام 1799 ولِد الشاعر الروسي المشهور ألكسندر بوشكين.
🪆ان اللغة الروسية هي واحدة من أكثر اللغات انتشارا. وفي اليمن يتكلم اكثر من 50 ألف شخص اللغة الروسية, وأغلبهم من خريجي الجامعات الروسية.

🕯 June 22 marks the Day of Memory and Sorrow in Russia.
At dawn on June 2️⃣2️⃣, 1941, enemy aviation launched massive attacks on airfields, railway stations, Soviet naval bases and numerous cities along the entire western state border to a depth of up to 250-300 km.
This opened one of the most tragic chapters in our country’s history. The Great Patriotic War broke out.
Hitler had a lightning war in mind. Operation Barbarossa implied a crushing defeat of the Red Army and the defeat of the Soviet Union within a few months with the help of the hitherto faultless blitzkrieg tactics.
Romania, Italy and other countries joined Germany to form a united front against the Soviet Union.
However, the Red Army’s fierce resistance and the efforts of all Soviet people foiled the Third Reich’s plans.
🎙 The news about German invasion and the beginning of the war was announced over the radio. At noon on June 22 the People’s Commissar for Foreign Affairs V.Molotov addressed the Soviet citizens with a phrase that went down in history:
“Ours is a righteous cause. The enemy shall be defeated. Victory will be ours”.
The Great Patriotic War lasted 1418 days and nights and ended on May 9, 1945 with the victory of the Soviet Union and the complete rout of the Nazi bloc.
❗️ The Soviet people perished amounts to 40% of all human losses in WWII, i.e. 26.6 million people! Of them, more than 8.7 million died in combat, 7.42 million were intentionally exterminated by the Nazis in the occupied territories, and over 4.1 million died from the atrocious conditions of the occupation regime.
• Since 2009, the day marked by the Candle of Memory nationwide action. Candles are lit throughout Russia in the silence of the night in memory of all those who died during the Great Patriotic War protecting our peaceful life.
Since 2020, an annual nationwide minute of silence has been held at 12:15 Moscow time the exact time when the Soviet government announced Nazi Germany’s invasion.

💬 Vladimir Putin: As everyone knows, unfortunately, today Russia finds itself having to defend its interests and its people with arms in hand. However, we still pay close attention to the situation in the Middle East and the developments in Palestine. We have long-standing and deep ties with the Arab world in general, and with Palestine in particular, which we greatly value.
We are closely following the unfolding humanitarian disaster in Palestine with deep anguish and concern. We are making every effort to support the Palestinian people. As you know, we have already sent about 700 tonnes of various goods there. We are determined to seize any available opportunity to assist the Palestinian people. Above all, our main concern is the loss of civilian lives. According to the UN, there are 40,000 victims already, mostly women and children.
🤝 I am very pleased to have the opportunity to meet with you today in Moscow and discuss the full range of our relations, as well as the situation at present and in the short term.
As you know, we have always advocated for a peaceful settlement, and we understand – in this regard, we share the same position – that this problem has deep historical roots and is primarily related to the disregard of decisions made by international organisations, primarily the UN, to establish and create an independent Palestinian state.
☝️ Our stance on this matter remains unchanged. We adopted it a long time ago, and it is in no way motivated by considerations of short-term benefits. We believe that in order to secure lasting and stable peace in the region, it is imperative to implement all UN resolutions, with the establishment of a full-fledged Palestinian state as a priority.

Сегодня состоялась встреча в формате видеоконференции Временного поверенного в делах России в Йемене Е.А.Кудрова с зампредседателя йеменской партии Всеобщий народный конгресс Ахмедом Али Абдаллой Салехом. Обсуждались ситуация в ЙР и положение дел в партии.
Со своей стороны, российский ВПД выразил собеседнику искренние поздравления в связи со снятием с него международных санкций. Е.А.Кудров также указал на необходимость продолжения усилий по поиску политического решения конфликта в Йемене.

The Heads of the Foreign Ministries confirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening of traditionally friendly Russian-Yemeni relations. They stressed the importance of efforts to maintain regular political dialogue, as well as to continue close coordination of their positions at the United Nations and other international platforms. They noted the persistence of a steady positive dynamics of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
🤝 Sergey Lavrov and Shaya Mohsen Al-Zindani had an in-depth exchange of views on the situation in and around Yemen. They emphasised that the Yemeni crisis can only be settled by political and diplomatic means through creating favourable conditions for an early launch of a full-fledged inter-Yemeni national dialogue under the auspices of the United Nations.
The Ministers paid special attention to the situation unfolding in the area of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, as well as its negative impact on the situation in and around Yemen. They reaffirmed their mutual commitment to ensuring the safety of international navigation, with the Russian Side pointing out that this task should be addressed through diplomacy alongside the intensification of collective efforts aimed at early de-escalation of the situation in the area of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. In this context, Russia and Yemen strongly advocate the adoption of urgent measures for a sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the delivery of required humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, as well as the efforts to provide necessary practical conditions for a comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian problem on the available international legal basis.
