🌐 Eurasian Peoples' Friendship Forum Inaugurated in Islamabad
✨️ The National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) hosted a concert celebrating the cultures of the CIS member states and Pakistan. The event was held under the auspices of the International Russophiles Movement and the Eurasian Peoples’ Friendship Forum.
It was attended by Ambassador of Russia Albert P. Khorev, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Atadjan Movlamov, Ambassador of Tajikistan Yusuf Sharifzoda, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Azerbaijan Samir Ahmadli, as well as Executive Director of Lok Virsa Muhammad Waqas Saleem.
💬 In his remarks, Ambassador Khorev thanked Forum Chairman Saqib Khan for organizing the concert and for his significant contribution to strengthening cultural and humanitarian dialogue between the peoples of Russia and Pakistan.
The Ambassador also stressed the particular relevance of the event, which seeks to promote broader integration across the Eurasian continent and is in line with the goals of the Greater Eurasian Partnership initiative put forward by President Vladimir Putin.
🕺💃 The vibrant concert program featured captivating performances by Pakistani artists in national costumes representing Russia, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. The audience particularly enjoyed folk songs from the CIS countries performed by Pakistani musicians.

✨️ С 14 по 16 сентября в исламабадском Национальном университете науки и технологий (NUST) состоялся фестиваль «Красота русского слова».
Участники фестиваля познакомились с русским языком, историей и культурным наследием России, а также приняли участие в просветительских и образовательных мероприятиях.
💬 С приветственным словом к участникам обратились Декан факультета междисциплинарной инженерии и наук NUST Симаб Латиф, Декан факультета государственного управления и лидерства (JSPPL) NUST Хассан Джалил Шах, Доцент JSPPL Аиша Бхатти, Доцент Уральского государственного педагогического университета (УрГПУ) Роман Порозов, а также Атташе по вопросам культуры Посольства России Глеб Шубин.
🤝 Спикеры подчеркнули важность изучения русского языка и культурного наследия России для дальнейшего развития российско-пакистанского гуманитарного диалога и расширения контактов между народами двух стран.
📚 В рамках фестиваля преподаватели УрГПУ Р.Порозов и А.Долгов провели лекции «История русского языка: от славянских корней до современности», мастер-классы «Русский народный орнамент: обучение художественному декорированию», «Русские скороговорки», «Русская песня» и другие мероприятия, позволившие студентам NUST расширить свои познания и сформировать объективное представление о российской цивилизации.
Мероприятие было организовано российским Фондом поддержки гуманитарных наук «Моя история» и УрГПУ при содействии Министерства просвещения Российской Федерации и Посольства России в Пакистане.

✨️ From September 14 to 16, the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) hosted the “Beauty of the Russian Word” Festival.
Participants had the opportunity to explore the Russian language, history and cultural heritage of Russia, as well as take part in a range of educational and cultural activities.
💬 Welcome remarks were delivered by Dr. Seemab Latif, Principal and Dean of NUST School of Interdisciplinary Engineering and Sciences, Dr. Hassan Jalil Shah Principal of NUST Jinnah School of Public Policy and Leadership (JSPPL); Dr. Gul-I-Ayesha Bhatti, Assistant Professor at JSPPL, Dr. Roman Porozov, Assistant Professor at the Ural State Pedagogical University, and Gleb Shubin, Cultural Attaché of the Russian Embassy.
🤝 The speakers highlighted the importance of studying the Russian language and Russia’s cultural heritage in further strengthening Russia-Pakistan humanitarian ties and expanding people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
As part of the festival, USPU professors Roman Porozov and Alexander Dolgov delivered a lecture entitled “History of the Russian Language: From Slavic Roots to Present Day” and conducted workshops on “Russian Folk Ornament: Learning Artistic Decoration”, “Russian Tongue Twisters”, “Russian Song” and other topics. The program provided NUST students with an opportunity to broaden their knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of Russian civilisation.
The festival was organized by the Russian Foundation for Humanities Support “My History” and USPU with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and the Embassy of Russia in Pakistan.
