⚡️ Russian Foreign Ministry's statement on the strike in the immediate vicinity of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant on March 24
Despite US President Donald Trump’s unsubstantiated assurances that on March 23 he had ordered a five-day pause in attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure, a new highly dangerous strike was carried out on March 24 in the immediate vicinity of Unit 1 of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant.
❗️ We are deeply outraged by this reckless and irresponsible manifestation of a destructive course.
It gives the impression that the aggressors are deliberately seeking to trigger a large-scale nuclear catastrophe in the region in order to conceal and justify their criminal actions, which have already resulted in numerous innocent civilian casualties in Iran.
The US and Israel must understand as well as we do that any strike on the Bushehr NPP would inevitably lead to irreversible humanitarian and environmental consequences. It is only by sheer luck that tragedy has so far been avoided. Yet the strikes are being carried out ever closer to the operating power unit.
❗️ The lives of the plant’s personnel, including Russian specialists, remain under constant threat. This is categorically unacceptable to us.
We demand that those who launched this reckless, irresponsible and unprovoked attack on Iran come to their senses and put an end to their unprovoked aggression, including strikes on Iran’s nuclear energy infrastructure covered by the IAEA Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement, as well as on facilities located in its immediate vicinity.
We expect a clear, unequivocal position and resolute action from the IAEA, the UN and their leadership in order to prevent any further attacks of this kind.

✨️ 26 марта состоялась традиционная встреча Посла России в Пакистане А.П.Хорева и сотрудников Посольства с российскими соотечественниками, проживающими в Пакистане.
🌹 Российские дипломаты в торжественной обстановке преподнесли присутствующим на встрече женщинам букеты цветов, поздравив их с наступившим Международным женским днем.
🎹 Приятным сюрпризом для гостей стал музыкальный подарок Советника Посольства Е.А.Пантелева. В его исполнении прозвучали хиты советской и российской эстрады, в том числе песни Юрия Антонова и Игоря Николаева, под аккомпанемент на фортепиано.
В ходе состоявшейся в доверительной атмосфере беседы с Послом А.П.Хоревым соотечественники ознакомились с актуальной информацией о деятельности РЗУ и получили развернутые ответы на интересующие их вопросы.
🤝 В завершении участники встречи выразили благодарность коллективу Посольства за эффективную работу, направленную на обеспечение прав соотечественников, подчеркнув высокую результативность проведения встреч в подобном формате.

В мероприятии приняли участие представители научного, литературного и творческого сообщества, в том числе Ректор Университета г.Окары С.Мубин.
✍️ Участники семинара в своих выступлениях подчеркнули, значительное влияние работ Максима Горького на развитие мировой литературы. Акцентировано, что переведенный практически на все языки мира роман «Мать» является шедевром социалистического реализма и одной из самых популярных книг ХХ века.
🏛 Особое внимание уделено культурному наследию Большого театра – символа российской национальной культуры – который и по сей день бережно хранит свои уникальные традиции классической оперы и балета.
В мероприятии приняли участие представители научного, литературного и творческого сообщества, в том числе Ректор Университета г.Окары С.Мубин.

✨️ On March 28, the Lahore-based Association of Pakistani Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities held a special seminar dedicated to the 158th birth anniversary of renowned Russian writer Maxim Gorky and the 250th anniversary of the Bolshoi Theatre.
The event was attended by representatives of the scientific, literary, and artistic communities, including Vice Chancellor of the University of Okara, Professor Dr. Sajjad Mubin.
✍️ Participants highlighted the significant influence of Maxim Gorky’s works on the development of world literature, noting that his novel “Mother,” translated into nearly every language, is widely regarded as a masterpiece of socialist realism and one of the most notable works of the twentieth century.
🏛 Particular attention was also given to the cultural legacy of the Bolshoi Theatre—a symbol of Russia’s national culture—which continues to preserve and promote its distinctive classical opera and ballet traditions.

✨️ 30 марта Посольство России в Пакистане совместно с Исламабадским институтом стратегических исследований (ИИСИ) организовало семинар, посвященный роли Посла СССР в Пакистане С.А.Азимова в развитии советско-пакистанских отношений 1974-1980 гг.
Участие в мероприятии приняли Посол России в Пакистане А.П.Хорев, аккредитованные в Исламабаде Послы государств-участников СНГ, Председатель Совета Ассоциации российских дипломатов И.В.Халевинский, руководитель ИИСИ Х.Махмуд, Посол российской науки и образования Ш.Хасан, глава Ассоциации пакистанских выпускников из вузов России и стран СНГ А.Низами, а также представители российского и пакистанского академического сообщества.

Islamabad Seminar Explores Legacy of Soviet Diplomat Sarvar Azimov
✨️ On March 30, 2026, the Embassy of Russia in Pakistan, in cooperation with the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI), organized a seminar dedicated to the role of Sarvar Azimov in advancing Soviet-Pakistani relations from 1974 to 1980.
The event was attended by Ambassador Albert P. Khorev; Ambassadors of CIS Member States accredited in Islamabad; Chairman of the Council of the Association of Russian Diplomats, Igor Khalevinsky; Chairman of the Board of Governors of ISSI, Ambassador Khalid Mahmood; Ambassador for Russian Science and Education, Dr. Shahid Hasan; Chairman of the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia and the CIS, Dr. Ashraf Nizami; as well as representatives of Russian and Pakistani academic communities.
❗️The keynote speaker, Anvar S. Azimov - retired Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Senior Research Fellow at MGIMO University - shared insights into the legacy of his father, the prominent Soviet statesman, writer, and diplomat Sarvar Azimov.
💬 In his remarks, Ambassador Khorev highlighted Sarvar Azimov’s distinguished service record and his substantial contribution to strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the energy and industrial sectors. These efforts laid a solid foundation for further development of Soviet-Pakistani relations.
🤝 In his address, Anvar Azimov underscored that Sarvar Azimov’s dedication to his country, combined with his respect for Pakistan, enabled him to build constructive relations with the Pakistani leadership, including Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and later President Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq.
🎓 The seminar generated strong interest among participants, who emphasized the importance of such events in preserving historical memory and promoting in-depth analysis of bilateral relations.
