Lisa Martino-Taylor is a sociologist whose life's work has been to uncover details of the Army's ultra-secret military experiments carried out in St. Louis and other cities during the 1950s and 60s. "The study was secretive for reason. They didn't have volunteers stepping up and saying yeah, I'll breathe zinc cadmium sulfide with radioactive particles," said Martino-Taylor. Covert military-sponsored studies during the Cold War targeted the city of St. Louis, whereby residents, homes and buildings were sprayed with hazardous materials from passing vehicles. An extension of the Manhattan Atomic Bomb Project, the goal was in part to covertly test humans, both alive and deceased, in an effort to develop not just nuclear but also radiological weapons.

The Stanford Prison Experiment
In 1971, Philip Zimbardo of Stanford University conducted his famous prison experiment, which aimed to examine group behavior and importance of roles. Zimbardo picked a group of 24 male students who were considered “healthy".
Prisoners shocked the guards on the second day of their stay by barricading themselves in their cells and ignoring the guards. The guards started separating "good" and "bad" prisoners, and doling out punishments and public humiliation to rebellious prisoners. This behavior led to the psychological abuse that followed. The experiment was originally supposed to last for two weeks, but it ended early when Zimbardo’s future wife, psychologist Christina Maslach, visited the experiment on the fifth day, “I think it’s terrible what you’re doing to those boys.”
Despite the unethical experiment, Zimbardo was even honored by the American Psychological Association with a Gold Medal Award for Life Achievement in the Science of Psychology.

DIY Lentils vegetable Soup
Ingredients
2 tbsp cold pressed oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/3 tsp paprika powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp salt
1 chopped onion
4 garlic cloves chopped
2 chopped carrots and celery each
2 chopped tomatoes or 1/3 cup tomato puree
1 cup Lentils
Preparation
Take a pan. Heat it.
Add 2 tbsp oil.
Add cumin seeds. Let it roast for 10 seconds.
Add chopped onions.
Saute for 7 mins until light brown.
Add chopped tomatoes.
Saute for 10 mins more
Now Add chopped carrots and celery.
Add turmeric, paprika and salt.
Now add washed Lentils.
Add 2 cups water.
Bring to a boil and Simmer on medium flame for 30-40 mins.
Close the lid for fast cooking.
Check if everything alright.
Now add 3 tbsp chopped Parsley
Cook for 3 mins more.
Your delicious 😋 lentil vegetable soup is ready.
