Humans have been eating fruit for thousands of years… and none of it came with a lab-made coating designed to manipulate shelf life.

Apeel is made from processed mono- and diglycerides — the same category of compounds often used in ultra-processed foods to alter texture and stability… not something your body evolved expecting on fresh produce.
