Telegram X now allows you to display your favourite photos from the gallery within the messenger.
This feature works only with the standard gallery of Samsung devices.
You can download the Beta version from Google Play after logging into the testing program, or from the official @tgx_log channel.

Proxy Rotation
In the Beta version of Telegram for Android, there is a new option which rotates proxy.
The user can configure a timeout, after which the Telegram client will automatically connect to a different proxy server if the current one becomes unavailable.
To enable proxy rotation, go to the Data and Memory section - Proxy Settings.

Update of Permissions Section in Groups
In Beta versions of Telegram for iOS and Android, there is a new feature that allows for more precise customization of permissions for sending media and disabling the ability to send text messages in group chats.
Under the "Sending Media" option, there are 6 new sub-options:
• Sending Photos
• Sending Videos
• Sending Music
• Sending Files
• Sending Voice Messages
• Sending Video Messages
The ability to turn off or on all sub-options with one "Sending Media" toggle has been retained.

Flexible Media Autosave Configuration

Power Saving Mode and More
Telegram for Android has been updated to version 9.5.
⚠️ Other telegram clients will receive the new version soon.
Power Saving Mode
• Users have the opportunity to disable certain animations and visual effects in the settings.
• Disabling effects will save battery power and improve performance on less powerful devices.
• The power saving mode can be set to turn on automatically when the battery charge drops below a specified value.
• In the iOS app, you can also disable background chat updates, but Telegram recommends not doing this.
• For the application on Android, the optimal settings are selected by default.
• You can switch to power saving mode or turn off autoplay, animations or effects separately in the menu Settings > Power saving.
Read Time in Small Groups
• In groups of up to 100 participants, you can now see the time when the messages were read by each of the participants.
• In addition, now you can see the time when the reactions were delivered.
Granular Playback Speed
• Now videos, podcasts, voice and video messages can be played at any speed from 0.2x to 2.5x using the slider.
• To fine-tune the speed of voice and video messages, hold the playback speed icon.
• To change the video playback speed, just click on the icon with three dots and select "Speed" from the menu that appears.
Auto-Send Invite Links
• If, when you try to invite a user, it turns out that he has forbidden it, you can immediately send him a message with an invitation link.

Android 14 Beta 4 got a new easter egg!

Google's latest Android 14 beta has a new surprise for everyone found in the settings, it is the new easter egg!
The easter egg is located in Settings > About Phone > Android version. After tapping “Android version” multiple times, you'll see the Android 14 logo floating in space. Next up, hold the Android logo to notice the “stars” speed by to open a space simulator inspired video game.
The game interface is made of the text about star, class, radius, mass and bodies of the spaceship on the top left corner. On the bottom left you can notice the threshold, position and velocity. To move the spaceship, hold down your finger on the display and drag it in the direction where you want to fly the ship.

Telegram Is Preparing to Bring Stories to Channels
According to crawled data from @tgcrawl, changes were made in Telegram for Android that indicate that stories are coming for channels.
From the changes we can guess that there will be a boosting system similar to Discord’s. For example, the number of the stories that can be posted might depend on the number of boosts received by the channel form its subscribers.
Apparently, only Telegram Premium users will be able to boost channels.

Repost a Post from the Channel to Story
In the Beta version of Telegram for Android, users now have the ability to embed messages from Telegram channels into their stories, including when posting on behalf of the channel.
If the post is long, only the beginning of the text will be included in the post sticker, and the rest of the content will be hidden behind a "Read More" tab. You can change the size of the sticker and its direction.
The background image of such stories follows the theme of your app. Before posting, you can choose whether your stories get a background from a light or dark theme.
Viewers can go to the original post by tapping on the repost bubble from the channel and selecting "View Message".
To share a post, click on the repost button next to the post in the channel and select "Repost to Story".

• Set a channel wallpaper that will be visible to all readers regardless of the theme of their app.

• Choose any emoji status to be displayed next to the channel name.
To unlock these features, channels need to reach a certain level by collecting boosts from their premium subscribers.

Photo as a Sticker in the Media Editor
The Beta version of Telegram for Android now has a button to add a photo on top of the main image.
To add more pictures to a photo or video, tap on the "Stickers" button in the bottom panel of the media editor, and then select the special "Photo" sticker (it will appear at the top of the tab, above all your stickers).

Remove Photo Backgrounds
In the beta version of Telegram for Android, you can now remove the background of photos which you attach as stickers to other photos both from the the main media editor or when posting a story.
When trying to attach a photo, its foreground will be highlighted and you will be able to see a “Cut Out” option that will remove the background.
When the background is cut out, you will see a Thanos snap effect.
