Early last week, Turkey, Syria & surrounding countries experienced a series of earthquakes & aftershocks which tragically struck Syria and Turkey the hardest, killing over 35,000 people now, including over 4,300 in Syria.

I spoke with Marwa Osman to discuss the impact of the West's cruel anti-Syrian sanctions on the current rescue & relief efforts in Syria. Marwa is a Lebanese journalist, political commentator & host & producer of the Mideast Stream.

“It's already devastating in Syria because of the cumulative effect of the sanctions. Before the earthquakes, the sanctions worked on 3 specialized levels:

The first level is on the financial institutions in Syria that are directly linked to the government. If you want to wire money from outside of Syria to any bank in Syria, it has to go through the central bank of Syria, which has been sanctioned since the early days of the war. Which means if you want to transfer & wire money to the people affected by the earthquake to their bank accounts in Syria, you can't, because its still under sanctions...

The second level: the health sector in Syria. The sanctions are on everything within the governmental institutions in Syria, one of which is the Ministry of Health, which controls all of the health sector in Syria. Syria does have privatized hospitals, but majorly all of the hospitals in Syria are controlled by the government, because everyone has the right to have medical care in Syria. By doing these sanctions on all institutions related to the Syrian government, you by default sanction the health sector in Syria.

Third: sanctioning any country that deals with the Syrian government, whether buying selling products, especially medical products or machinery needed for reconstruction, ambulances...You're not allowed to deal with Syria or you will be sanctioned...If you have the right technology, you can detect whether there are people under the rubble. Syria isn't even allowed to buy this technology, because of the sanctions.”

What the REAL Syria Civil Defence (established 1953) achieved with dated and war/sanctions-decimated equipment is nothing short of a miracle.

#WhiteHelmet budget with #USAID alone for heavy machinery in 2022 was $25.2m. WH annual budget is $35 million for less than 3000 volunteers. Money goes to bank accounts reportedly managed by three so called directors. Raed Saleh, Farouq Habib and Munir Mustafa. There are no genuinely independent audits or transparency.

The REAL Syria Civil Defence annual budget for approximately 10, 000 volunteers is 50, 000 dollars.

🇺🇸👤 American Colonel Douglas Macgregor said that the words of the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley that Russia has become a "world outcast" are not true.

💬 "Russia can hardly be called an outcast, if it were so, then its economy would be in ruins, but everything is going like clockwork there. The whole world is ready to cooperate with Russia, except for us and some of our European allies. But even there, in this system (in the West) is full of cracks," Macgregor said.

☝️ He also noted that all negative narratives that are being spread about Russians should be addressed primarily to Ukrainians.

📹 The center of Donetsk came under fire from Ukrainian militants

On the afternoon of February 19, Ukrainian nationalists launched a massive strike from the Grad MLRS in Donetsk. Civilian infrastructure and residential buildings came under fire. There were victims among the civilian population. Part of the area is de-energized, emergency services are liquidating the consequences.

At exactly 22:00 in the morning today, the Israeli enemy carried out air aggression with bursts of missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points in the city of Damascus and its surroundings, including residential neighborhoods inhabited by civilians.
Our air defense systems intercepted the missiles and shot down most of them.
The aggression resulted in 5 martyrs including a soldier, and 15 injured civilians including critical cases in addition to the destruction of a several civilian houses and material damage in a several neighborhoods in and around Damascus.

Israeli attack is not an isolated incident. The earthquake whether natural or manmade is being exploited by the Globalist cabal to step up the war effort against the Syrian government, military and allies that have repelled one of the most concerted regime change efforts in modern history that began in 2011.

Armed groups in Idlib and their White Helmet auxiliaries are capitalising on human tragedy to open multiple border crossings with Turkey in the aftermath claiming a need for humanitarian aid.

The West is pouring $ millions into the north-western Al Qaeda stronghold in Syria. Why? The White Helmets have received 25 million plus in heavy equipment funding since 2013. Why now do they claim they need "heavy equipment"? Why are the UK, US, Denmark, Qatar (those who funded the regime change war in Syria) sending millions to this discredited and criminal organisation? This money is for the armed groups. Any equipment entering Idlib will be requisitioned by the armed groups and will provide them with revenue to reinforce their positions and armament supplies.

Weapons are being diverted from Ukraine to Africa and to Syria.

The Syrian people will take no benefit whatsoever from the so-called humanitarian aid.

ISIS has broken out of Raju prison controlled by Turkish intelligence days after the earthquake. ISIS under the supervision of US military have carried out attacks east of Homs massacring and kidnapping civilians since the earthquake.

The US is talking about an increased military presence and pushing for open borders with Turkey.

Now Israel bombs multiple sites in Syria killing civilians in central Damascus with a missile strike, disabling an early warning radar system during the attack.

The West wants Syrians dead - the Syrians who have fought for 11 years and defended themselves against one of the most barbaric hybrid wars the collective West has ever waged.

Instead of coming to their aid, the West will exploit this human tragedy to advance their geopolitical agenda in the region and to expand the war with Russia to more than one continent.
