Message from my Palestinian friend, the heroic Iyad Burnat, one of countless heroes of Bil'in village.

"Hello dear Eva
How are you doing?
We are fine thank you
My two sons in jail 15 months no trial."

THIS is Israel, abducting Palestinians, including countless children, holding them indefinitely, beating and torturing them, sexually assaulting them... [ https://www.rt.com/op-ed/412883-palestinian-prisoners-israel-abduct/ ]

For those unfamiliar with Bil'in, the villagers have for 17 years been courageously protesting the Israeli theft of their land. They've been imprisoned, assaulted, maimed, killed, had their family members abducted, including children... Just imagine if it were Russia or Syria unleashing the hell that Bil'in villagers have endured from Israel...

In Gorlovka today, where yesterday's Ukrainian shelling killed one elderly civilian & injured 2 more, in critical condition. Gorlovka has been hard hit by Ukrainian terrorism the past 8 years.

While I work on editing footage from this afternoon, a reminder (from my 2019 article) of the hell Gorlovka has endured:

Today is the Remembrance Day of the children-victims of war in Donbass

"130 innocent souls."

"Gorlovka was hardest hit in 2014, especially on July 27, when the center was rocked by Ukrainian-fired missiles from morning to evening. At least 30 died, including 5 children...including the β€˜Madonna of Gorlovka’, Kristina Zhuk, with her infant daughter Kira.'

A monument commemorates the Gorlovka victims of Ukrainian bombings and sniping from 2014-2017. Near a sculpture of an angel, over 230 names fill the marble slabs, the first dedicated solely to children, 20 of them.”

Ukrainian shelling of Gorlovka on July 25 killed an elderly man & injured two other adults, as well as destroying a house and blasting a hole through the roof of an apartment building.

I went there with journalist Roman Kosarev to speak with residents about the shelling. The injured are in critical condition in the hospital, so it was impossible to take their testimonies. But people affected by the shelling spoke about their terror and emphasized that the area is completely civilian, there are no military targets.

As elsewhere in the Donbass republics, Ukraine is terrorizing civilians, with the intent of destroying more infrastructure and maiming & killing still more beyond the over 8,000 civilians alone which Ukraine has already killed in 8+ years. As usual, Ukraine's war crimes go unreported in Western corporate media. These are the crimes that Reporters Without Borders is whitewashing with its attempt to have Russian media censored.

In Yasynuvataya yesterday, the shelling started while there. Very sad to read that Ukraine's bombing there killed another civilian.

In the hospital, we spoke with people who had been injured by shelling, including in recent days, and also a woman who lost her leg due to shelling in May. She spoke of peace, peace, peace...

*My colleague Roman Kosarev writes of our visit:

"Yasinovataya is shelled daily by Ukrainian nationalists. Only yesterday one civilian was killed and two civilians were wounded. During our work, the attacks continued, and we had to wait out the shelling in the hospital, where we brought the medicine."
