The WSJ and other outlets are now reporting that Trump is abandoning the goal of reopening the Strait of Hormuz by force and is planning on declaring victory based entirely on his own false claims of destroying Iran's military capabilities. It's just like I said: The Strait won't be open until Iran consents to having it open. And the U.S. can't force Iran to do that.
