Funny how the U.S. demands Iran reopen the Straight of Hormuz as public infrastructure when the same U.S. routinely restricts other countries from using what I call the "Financial Strait of SWIFT."

The U.S. wields its financial control over the SWIFT system as an economic weapon against countries like Russia, Iran, China, North Korea, Cuba and many more, all via economic sanctions. To then argue that no country has the right to close a waterway because it's "public infrastructure" is entirely disingenuous.

The U.S. empire has zero belief in open infrastructure to empower the world. It just wants control over all the chokepoints so it can weaponize them and punish countries for disobedience.

Reminder: The Straight of Hormuz was OPEN before Trump launched his war of aggression on Iran.

Trump is to blame for the closure and all the economic consequences that follow. He's the one who set it into motion.

I will never again vote for a candidate who places the expansionist interests of a foreign government above American sovereignty and the safety of our own citizens. It is the ultimate act of political treachery, transforming a movement of national renewal into a vehicle for foreign entanglement. This subservience is not just a policy failure; it is a fundamental violation of the oath to protect and defend the United States. Our primary allegiance must be to our own nation, not to the 'Greater Israel' projects of war criminals abroad.

I am told that if I don't vote yet again for the very same party that has betrayed us, then I am "allowing Democrats to win." This is emotional hostage-taking, a corrupt attempt to weaponize our reasonable dread of the left’s destructive agenda to justify our own team’s treachery.

I am told I must consent to my own betrayal to avoid a greater evil. I refuse. My vote is not a hostage to be bartered. It is a sacred instrument of accountability, and I will not wield it to endorse my own subjugation.

The movement that promised to be a coalition of patriots has devolved into an obedience cult of mindless idiots demanding loyalty even as it marches in the opposite direction of its founding principles.

A 2023 report by the American Security Project found that 68% of active-duty U.S. service members are classified as either overweight or obese.

That means nearly 7 out of 10 U.S. soldiers are too fat to fight.

Iran's soldiers, who vastly outnumber the U.S. troops set to invade Iran, do not have an obesity problem. They don't live on Burger King and McDonald's fast food.

Obese U.S. soldiers are the perfect reflection of the failed U.S. empire: A culture of excess calories but malnutrition. A culture that favors artificially-flavored fast food over authentic food that's slow and intentional. The U.S. military sending fat soldiers to die in Iran is the perfect end cap to a failed empire that treats its own citizens like cattle, and its enemies like sub-human animals.

When dead U.S. soldiers come home in body bags (by the thousands), those body bags will have to be XXL just to fit the corpses of the soldiers who were raised on artificial food and sent to die in a foreign war that was started for artificial reasons by a delusional artificial president who funds his military by printing artificial currency.

Why I'm not voting in the midterms: For ordinary Americans stripped of lobbyists and PACs, the ballot is our primary -- and often only -- tool for meaningful political accountability. To cast a vote is to perform a profound civic act. It says, 'I consent to your governance. I believe in your promises. I entrust you with a portion of my sovereignty.'

This consent is the bedrock of legitimate authority in a republic, a principle echoed in foundational texts discussing how government derives its 'legitimacy and authority from the consent of the governed.'

That consent, however, is not irrevocable. It is a conditional contract. When a leader or party shatters that trust, the consent is null and void. The MAGA movement, under Trump’s restored presidency, has done precisely that. It promised an end to endless foreign wars, only to engineer new ones. It pledged economic sovereignty and relief for working people, yet we face engineered scarcity and a food inflation crisis that threatens food abundance and political stability.

When trust is shattered by such fundamental reversals, continuing to vote for the betrayers is not pragmatism; it is self-inflicted slavery. My consent has been revoked.

Let's be brutally honest: the fighting spirit and physical resilience that once defined the American soldier have been systematically eroded. We have created a 'desk job' military. A shocking study reveals that nearly 70% of active-duty Army service members are classified as overweight or obese. This isn't about body-shaming; it's about combat readiness. A soldier carrying excess fat is slower, more prone to injury, and has reduced endurance. This crisis is a direct result of lowered physical standards and a culture that prioritizes social experimentation over lethal proficiency. As one U.S. senator warned, the military's focus on 'wokeness' is "going to get people killed".

The contrast with our potential adversaries is stark. While we debate gender-neutral fitness standards, Iranian forces, Hezbollah militants, and Houthi fighters in Yemen are lean, hardened, and battle-tested in asymmetric warfare. They have spent decades preparing to fight an invading force on their own terrain. A scientific paper bluntly frames the recruitment crisis: rising obesity is rendering a significant portion of the youth population "unfit for service," threatening the military's ability to expand rapidly to meet threats. We are trying to field an army from a pool of candidates that our own institutions have made soft and sick.

This physical decline is not an accident. It is the product of a society and a military leadership that has lost its way. The focus has shifted from forging warriors to managing a bureaucratic, politically correct institution. When Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth orders senior commanders to "prepare for war", he is ordering them to prepare a force that is, by the numbers, largely composed of individuals who would struggle in basic infantry training a generation ago. You cannot wish away the laws of physiology. An obese soldier will break under the strain of mountain warfare in the Zagros Mountains long before a lean, determined Iranian militiaman will.

Human history, in my view, is a chronicle of captured and magnified labor. We moved from the raw muscle of slaves and animals to the fossil-fueled might of steam and combustion engines. Each leap in energy -- horsepower, steam, internal combustion -- multiplied our output and enabled explosive population growth and greater specialization. This trajectory created the very scientific and technological elite that now sits atop our civilization.

This elite, however, is the product of the system it now seeks to dismantle. The intensification and specialization of production, driven by technological innovation, created the surplus that funded their research and insulated their power. Now, having reached the zenith of substituting machine for man, they view the masses they enabled as surplus to requirements. The logic is cold and linear: each transition in labor, from textile workers to auto plant employees, was driven by machines replacing human effort in the sector below. We are simply the last sector to be replaced.
