ANALYSIS: Responding to "Employers announced 153,000 job cuts this October, the highest figure for the month since 2003."

Things are just getting started.

The mass layoffs, as I see it, are occurring for three primary reasons:

1) AI replacements of human workers.
2) Money printing --> Inflation --> Reduced discretionary purchasing by consumers leading to large-scale retail job losses.
3) Trump's tariffs causing chaos and disruptions in supply chains, strongly impacting U.S. manufacturing and small businesses.

I asked competent AI to calculate an estimate percentage of each of these three factors in terms of causation of the job losses. The answers:

1. AI Replacements: ~25%
2. Inflation/Reduced Consumer Spending: ~50%
3. Trump Tariffs/Supply Chain Disruptions: ~25%

Importantly, NONE of these factors is reversing. They are all getting worse (for now), with Trump committed to more currency printing (debt spending), which will drive further inflation, while he is also committed to deploying tariffs as geopolitical weapons, despite the increasing economic harm it causes U.S. consumers and businesses.

In addition, AI cognitive competence is rapidly improving, with estimated doubling of cognitive-based skills replacement every 9 months. Thus, the number of human job losses resulting from AI replacement will dramatically increase, possibly doubling every 9 months for many cycles to come. I would not be surprised if 2026 sees job losses of over 5 million in the USA alone. (There are nearly 2.5 million jobs in the customer service sector alone, and nearly 80% of those jobs can be replaced by AI right now, according to Goldman Sachs.)

Bottom line? The U.S. consumer economy is about to get "rekd." Trump and Bessent can continue to try to gaslight the country into claiming we have entered a new "Golden Age," but fewer and fewer people will believe such sky-high claims when they have lost their jobs and are facing evictions and repossessions of their vehicles, while defaulting on their student loans (such defaults are already reaching record territory right now, while auto repos are also skyrocketing).

Things are about to go from "concerning" to "catastrophic" for the U.S. economy, and in my view, very few people in power are willing to face this reality. Denial is not a solution to these profound, destructive trends, but denial is what the GOP is going to be running on in 2026 and 2028. It is unlikely to be persuasive.

New music video! "The Economy In Your Head" captures the recent gaslighting by Trump and Bessent who are wildly claiming that America's economy is a new "Golden Age." While job losses for October just hit a shocking new high, and 42 million Americans have been cut off from food stamps, supply chains are being decimated by Trump's tariffs, inflation on food, insurance and electricity is skyrocketing, dollar purchasing power is collapsing at a record pace, small businesses are failing across the country, and hundreds of thousands of Americans are losing their jobs to automation and downsizing. Other than that, yeah, the economy is great!

In addition to pushing the 50-year mortgage (which is a financial con that will only enslave homeowners while reaping more profits for big banks), don't forget that Trump's Treasury and Fed officials are very likely to soon push a 50-year treasuries, then they'll threaten current 10-year holder to convert everything to 50-year treasuries, in order to try to delay the total financial default of the US empire a little while longer. Will anyone sign up for 50-year treasuries? Only those who are incredibly stupid or who are being threatened, I would imagine.

Trump is now entering the helicopter money phase of empire collapse.

After effectively TAXING Americans with punitive tariffs that are ultimately paid by the end consumer, Trump is now promising to give back a small portion of the money the government took from you while destroying your small business and causing supply chain disruptions and inflation, to boot.

He does this while absurdly claiming "almost no inflation" and asserting that the USA is the "most respected country in the world." These are claims rooted in a shocking disconnect from reality, with the aura of delusion or psychosis all around. Is Trump being drugged by his handlers? Is he so isolated from reality that he no longer is aware of the real world outside his wealthy elite bubble? Is he in a state of accelerated cognitive decline like Joe Biden?

He also claims he will start paying down the $37 trillion in debt. Does that mean gold revaluation to generate a few trillion in usable cash for the Treasury? Probably. If so, expect gold to skyrocket to $10,000+ per ounce sometime next year, and you should also expect numerous stablecoin launches that Trump will push in order to create more artificial demand for US Treasuries (purchased by the stablecoin issuers, a la the GENIUS Act).

But I've done the math on all this, and "the math ain't mathin'."

At best, stablecoin schemes could generate perhaps $3 trillion in treasury purchases. Gold revaluation, a one-time windfall that cannot be easily repeated, could generate $4 - $6 trillion. So this isn't even $10 trillion yet, and Trump will be facing a commercial real estate lender collapse in 2026, plus mass defaults on consumer debt (currently around $18.6 trillion and rising) as people lose their jobs due to AI replacement and collapsing retail activity affecting both e-commerce providers (Amazon, etc.) and local businesses (restaurants, coffee shops, etc.). These debt defaults will require massive, multi-trillion dollar bailouts, which will put the fiscal situation far deeper in the hole than where Trump started.

Following the wave of commercial real estate debt defaults, there will be a wave of consumer debt defaults that we might as well call the "Big Short 2.0." Except this time around, the defaults will be far larger than 2008. Perhaps "The Humongous Short" would be a better term.

Before long, Trump will be facing the largest financial crisis (debt defaults) in the history of our nation, and shockingly, we already know that his entire cabinet appears to be economically illiterate and that Trump himself has no solutions other than printing more (collapsing) currency and dropping dollars from helicopters, hoping the people won't notice their futures have been destroyed by all the debt, waste and fraud that Trump keeps pushing via military spending, endless wars and government-funded prescription medications.

Trump is on course to be the most economically disastrous president in the history of our nation as his policies drive tens of millions of Americans into poverty and economic desperation.

If a high-level coding engineer from 2015 could see the way we are writing apps and processing data today, in 2025, they would think we were all from THE FUTURE. As in, the far future, like 2055 or something.

Truth is, thanks to AI breakthroughs, we are LIVING in the future. In essence, we have broken out to a whole new timeline that was unimaginable (by most people) even five years ago. I'll be covering all this in a new, free book I'm releasing in a few days, all about the new abundance that's now possible if you know how to leverage this tech.

So when some of you are trying to figure out what @elonmusk means when he says his robots will be performing precision surgeries, complex home cleaning tasks, industrial manufacturing and other intricate tasks by the year 2030, have no doubt that he's correct.

Realize, too, that machine cognition is plummeting in cost by something approaching 40X every year, right now. Do the math. By 2030, extremely high-level machine cognition will be essentially free and incredibly widely distributed. Human cognition will be largely overshadowed, and there will be a global SHORTAGE of robots because of the extremely high demand for robot assistance on most tasks. Robots are harder to scale than AI software because robots are built out of physical materials like aluminum, copper, lithium, nickel, etc., which have to be physically mined, refined and formed into the proper usable shapes or microprocessor layers.

AI software scaling, on the other hand, will happen rapidly, almost suddenly, shockingly fast. AI robot scaling will be frustratingly much slower, but those who own the robots and who know how to put them to good use will experience extraordinary improvements in quality of life and in available free time to pursue life's important goals (instead of doing the dishes, taking out the trash, etc.).
