For tomorrow's BBN broadcast, I will be discussing the all-important concept of FORCE MAJEURE.

There are force majeure clauses in nearly all contracts with companies that hold things for you, such as vaults, banks, storage facilities, etc.

To qualify as a force majeure event, the event must be: 1) External to the parties, 2) Unanticipated, and 3) Impossible to stop (or overpowering in force).

Examples would be a military invasion, a cyber attack that takes down the power grid, or even another bioweapon plague.

Under force majeure, companies are absolved from their contractual obligations because it is impossible for them to fulfill those obligations.

Ethical companies will still TRY to fulfill them, or protect your gold (as an example), but unethical banks (for example) can use FM as an excuse to drop their obligations.
