I fully realize most conservatives are unhappy with Dr. Oz getting Trump's endorsement in the PA senate race, and I certainly don't agree with Oz on everything (especially vaccines). However, I want to offer these counter points because I briefly met with Dr. Oz personally in NYC many years ago, and here's some food for thought that isn't getting much attention: (continued)
(Note: Dr. Oz did not ask me to say any of this, and I have no contact with his campaign.)

#1) Dr. Oz had me on his show when no one else would. He had the courage to bring on controversial guests like myself, and he treated me with dignity and kindness.

#2) He has always been 100% pro nutrition, pro supplements and opposed to the over-medication of America.

#3) Big Pharma tried to DESTROY Dr. Oz over his coverage of certain superfoods and supplements, dragging him before the swamp creatures in D.C. and trying to paint him as a danger to society for recommending nutrition.

Dr. Oz has had to operate in a mainstream media environment which allows almost ZERO dissent or original thinking, yet he has expanded the Overton Window among mainstream Americans by introducing them to concept of disease prevention, natural health and nutrition. Oz has made it okay to discuss superfoods on daytime TV, for example. (It used to be a "fringe" topic.) Pharma has threatened him but he did not surrender to their threats.

For the record, I do NOT agree with Dr. Oz's past comments that seemed to be in favor of abortion or even pushing LGBT agendas on children. So I don't endorse everything he has ever done, but I do know from firsthand experience that Oz is actually a caring human being. Plus, his opponent in Pennsylvania is a true RINO.
I do not believe that Oz is another Mitt Romney (RINO-Utah), and I believe that Oz has enough of his own reach, influence and financing that he can say "No" to the pharma lobby and other big-money interested that typically buy out US Senators. Oz is a little bit like Trump in this regard, a self-made success story in his own industry, and he doesn't need payoffs or favors from industry. Then again, Trump is still pro-vaccine which is a HUGE mistake on his part, I think.

Okay, thanks for feedback. Looks like the opinion on Oz here is about 50% - 60% negative, maybe more. Believe me, I get the fact that we are all tired of being told one thing from a candidate, and then once they are elected, they turn around and betray us all. We've been betrayed WAY too many times. Sure wish we could really know Dr. Oz's intentions in advance... what we need is about 500 Ron Pauls and Rand Pauls to take over the House and Senate! Whip out the Paul family cloning machine!!
