Hundreds of thousands of people gathered to watch the event called the Big Bay Boom, which was supposed to last for 17 minutes. However, something unexpected happened. All the fireworks on the four barges were discharged prematurely and simultaneously, causing the entire fireworks show to be over in less than a minute. The fireworks were computer-coordinated and triggered. The premature discharge resulted from a corrupted file, causing them to go off all at once
