I was speaking to a friend of mine this past weekend who is a teacher. She told me some awful stories of what actually goes on in schools. She entered the job a couple of years ago and was one of those people that was fully on board with the importance of children being in the schooling system, but now she is staunchly in favour of home schooling. 2 years ago, she was one of the biggest opponents of home schooling I knew. Some of the things she told me were truly shocking and it’s important for this info to be shared. She isn’t particularly political and her main concern is children’s welfare.

We recorded the conversation but she does not want me to publish it. Instead, I’m going to post the transcript in sections where she answers my questions and shares her experiences. I’ll post them on here over the next few days, one or two at a time. Starting tonight.
