Merchant Account Manager

Role Purpose

The Product Manager will own the end-to-end product lifecycle of the Slide it platform, ensuring continuous improvement of the customer and merchant experience.

This role is responsible for translating business goals, customer feedback, and operational needs into clear product requirements, prioritizing features, and working closely with tech, growth, operations, and risk teams to deliver a scalable, reliable BNPL product.

The Product Manager will play a critical role in enhancing usability, reducing friction, improving conversion, and driving product-led growth.



Key Responsibilities

1. Product Ownership & Strategy

Own the Slide it product roadmap across mobile app, merchant portal, and internal tools.
Define product vision aligned with business, risk, and growth objectives.
Prioritize features based on impact, effort, and user value.
Balance speed of execution with product quality and stability.


2. Customer & Merchant Experience Optimization

Identify friction points in:
User onboarding
KYC & approval
Payment flow
Installment management
Improve UX/UI flows to increase:
Registration completion
Approval rates
First-transaction conversion
Collaborate with design teams to enhance usability and clarity.


3. Requirements & Delivery Management

Write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Work closely with development teams to:
Plan sprints
Clarify requirements
Ensure timely delivery
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.


4. Data-Driven Product Decisions

Define and monitor key product KPIs:
Funnel conversion rates
Drop-off points
Feature adoption
Use analytics and customer insights to inform product decisions.
Run experiments and A/B tests to validate improvements.
Benchmark other BNPL flows


5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as the bridge between:
Tech
Growth
Operations
Risk & Compliance
Align stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and trade-offs.
Ensure product changes comply with regulatory and risk requirements.


6. Feedback & Continuous Improvement

Collect and analyze customer feedback from:
Support
WhatsApp CRM
HubSpot CRM
App reviews
Merchants
Users feedback
Translate insights into actionable product enhancements.
Maintain and evolve product documentation.


7. Launch & Post-Launch Ownership

Lead feature launches end-to-end:
Requirements
Testing
Go-live
Post-launch performance review
Ensure smooth rollouts with minimal disruption.


Key Skills & Qualifications

2–4 years experience in Product Management, preferably in fintech, payments, or consumer apps.
Strong understanding of mobile apps and user experience.
Experience working with agile development teams.
Ability to write clear product requirements and user stories.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Experience with BNPL, lending, or payments is a strong plus.
