All Trump had to do was invoke the Home Rule Act to deploy troops and place the DC police under federal control; legally, it was cut and dry
Now people from democrat-run cities all over the country are all but demanding NG presence to bring back law and order

However, expanding the mission by pre-positioning active duty troops to quell civil unrest in response to high-profile arrests is where it gets interesting…
Under Title 32, governors need to approve NG troop deployments to their state
Under Title 10, their approval is not required so long as they don’t actively obstruct the orders of the President
And if they do, we all know what comes next 😎
Tom Homan has prepared the public for this exact scenario and made very clear where the line is…
He also famously said “wait until you see what’s coming” when asked why he hasn’t arrested sanctuary city leadership
Somehow I tend to doubt that blue states are going to comply with Title 32, having openly stated that they will resist ICE, which means Trump “will be forced” to federalize the NG under Title 10
This begs the question…how far will they go in “resisting”?

Does anyone actually think these people are going to stand down when troops arrive, comply and not obstruct the enforcement of federal law?

Funny thing, SCOTUS precedent. Their decision (guided by the doctrine of stare decisis, Latin for "to stand by things decided"). And that matters, b/c their decisions are considered the supreme form of judicial authority in the US legal system. While there are a number of reasons why that's impt, the key one is that said decisions serve as THE binding interpretation of our Constitution.
Now, given the absolute gravity of the moment, would it not make sense to secure SCOTUS decisions on certain relevant matters that would arguably be entirely germane to what's happening big picture? And for that matter, what comes next?
The reason the latter part is, IMO, super impt b/c what's being done right now to right the ship of state has to be judged by and considered lawful/Constitutional by history.
Legitimacy would be essential if one were taking extreme measures to save our Republic.
