... towards the end of a big article I wrote in August, titled, "The Suspiciously Convenient Timing of Covid for the Davos Elite and the WEF's 'Great Reset' — I sought to address red flags of Elon Musk’s twitter, notably “Freedom of speech, not freedom of reach” and comments on “lawful but awful” content, by Linda Yaccarino.

See what she is saying there? “Okay we won’t overtly censor you if its awful, but if we, or our advertisers, (or maybe the mossad and CIA) don’t like it, we deamplify you so nobody actually sees it”.

...Linda Yaccarino herself being picked for CEO was also subject to much scrutiny, with her corporate background and being a WEF member.

...Yet while twitter’s official policy is to limit visibility and algorithmically suppress whatever is deemed “lawful but awful” speech, Elon Musk talks out the other side of X’s mouth to say Twitter will uphold speech to the maximum extent the law allows, as he has repeatedly said since buying twitter - a claim he repeated just days ago:

I think the continued censorship (both covert and overt) a year after Musk taking over twitter, the declared “freedom of speech not reach” policy, and other red flags, such as his major companies having major contracts with the US military (and apparently now intelligence agencies), point to Musk having rebranded censorship, rather than eliminated it.

Despite censorship being abound in twitter 2.0, many still view twitter as a good faith actor trying to revive free speech, as Elon still promotes himself as the savior of free speech. Elon Musk recently tweeted a meme reemphasizing the new twitter being branded as pro free speech. He has been making a lot of tweets like this recently, really leaning into the free speech marketing as he cozies up with intelligence agencies.

And again, a bunch of accounts were censored at the same time as mine, most of which had been / were critical of Israel or Musk, or like me, both.

A mysterious viral outbreak is overwhelming some hospitals in China and prompting people to wear face masks again.

Videos on social media appear to show medical units struggling with large numbers of patients.

Parents were seen holding sick children amid long queues in paediatric care late at night.

Many are drawing similarities with the early dark days of the Covid pandemic five years ago from its start in the city of Wuhan.

According to local news reports, a little-known virus called human metapneumovirus (HMPV) has been blamed. It normally causes a mild cold-like illness, including fever, a cough, runny nose and wheezing.

In severe cases, HMPV can lead to bronchitis or pneumonia, particularly in children.

The virus spreads through respiratory droplets and close physical contact, making it highly contagious in crowded settings.

Tel Aviv now controls the six most important water sources in southern Syria and continues to expand its occupation in the country

The Israeli air force launched a violent attack near the Syrian capital of Damascus on 2 January, coming as Israel’s military continues to expand its occupation in the country, reaching a key dam in the southern Quneitra area.

Syrian media outlets reported that powerful explosions rocked the capital’s western countryside and that the target was the Tal al-Shahem military site overlooking Quneitra, Damascus, and its countryside.

“This site is considered one of the most important military centers of the Syrian army in the southern Damascus countryside. It contains military communications centers and radars, in addition to being an important site for missiles and anti-tank weapons,” Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Syria said.

The Israeli army stated on Thursday that elite troops recently raided and destroyed an underground Iranian missile facility west of Hama.

Israel has launched hundreds of heavy airstrikes targeting the majority of the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) military infrastructure across Syria since former president Bashar al-Assad’s government fell to extremist groups on 8 December.

...The Israeli army also continues to expand its occupation across southern Syria.

Al Mayadeen reported on 2 January that Israeli troops have now reached the Al-Mantara Dam in the Quneitra countryside, the largest dam in southern Syria, adding that Israel has seized control of the six most strategic bodies of water in the south.

Israel's recent expansion in Syria, which began immediately after the fall of the Assad government, has seen invading troops seize precious water sources such as the Al-Wahda Dam on the Yarmouk River Basin and others. Syrian and Israeli sources, as well as Carmel News citing an Iranian source, reported last month that Israel now controls 30 percent of Syria's water supply and 40 percent of Jordan's.

“The occupation's control over the Al-Wahda Dam, which is located on the Jordanian border, is a threat to Jordan, because it was the biggest beneficiary of this dam,” Al Mayadeen’s correspondent said on Thursday.

Report: Biden Was Presented With Options To Bomb Iran’s Nuclear Facilities

According to Axios, the options were presented by Jake Sullivan in a meeting a few weeks ago

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan presented President Biden with options to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities during a secret meeting held a few weeks ago, Axios reported on Thursday.

The report said the US was considering bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities if Tehran moves toward making a nuclear weapon, but there’s no evidence Iran has decided to take that step, a fact recently acknowledged by the CIA.

Sources told Axios that Biden did not greenlight a strike on Iran during the meeting and did not make any final decision. The report said the purpose of the meeting was only to discuss how they would respond if Iran began enriching uranium at 90%, the level needed to produce a weapon.

One source said there are no “active discussions” about bombing Iran before President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated on January 20.

The Wall Street Journal recently reported that the Trump transition team was also considering the idea of strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The report said Trump had discussed the possibility with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

UNRWA 'Preparing To Close Its Doors' In Gaza, West Bank As Israeli Law Takes Effect

The UN agency has been the target of an Israeli smear campaign, which has included coercing confessions of UNRWA employees into admitting ties with Hamas

UN officials who spoke with the New York Times (NYT) say that the leading agency providing humanitarian aid for Palestinians is “preparing” to end its operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

“It would be a massive impact on an already catastrophic situation. If that is what the Israeli intention is – to remove any ability for us to save lives – you have to question what is the thinking and what is the end goal?” UN resident and humanitarian coordinator Jamie McGoldrick told the NYT on 2 January.

UNRWA is a critical provider of staple necessities and essential services, relied on by thousands of Palestinians for their livelihood and basic needs. Since the start of the Israeli genocide in Gaza, UNRWA has been at the forefront of delivering aid to the displaced Palestinians, providing food, water, and medicine, as well as overseeing aid deliveries and running shelters.

UNRWA has provided fuel to the remaining hospitals and has been working to clear the accumulated waste, which is critical amidst the recent outbreak of diseases such as cholera.

“The world has abandoned us. We have nothing but the aid we get from UNRWA to survive,” Sami Abu Darweesh told the NYT.

FBI Says New Orleans Attacker Was An Army Veteran With An ISIS Flag

Fifteen people were killed and over 30 were injured in the car-ramming attack

The FBI said Wednesday that the man who drove a truck into a crowd in New Orleans to kill as many people as he could was a Texas-born US Army veteran who was carrying an ISIS flag.

The early morning New Year’s Day attack in the French Quarter killed at least 15 people and injured more than 30. The attacker, identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, was killed in a firefight with police after the crash.

The FBI said in a statement that weapons, including potential Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), and an ISIS flag were found inside the vehicle. The FBI initially said Jabbar may have had help, but on Thursday, the agency said it believed he acted alone in an “act of terrorism.”

Also on Wednesday, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded at a Trump hotel in Las Vegas , killing the driver and injuring seven people nearby. Officials said the truck contained “fireworks-style mortars,” and the incident is being investigated as a potential terrorist attack. According to reports, both the Cybertruck and the Ford truck used in the attack in New Orleans were rented using the app Turo.

In regards to the New Orleans attack, the FBI said it was working to determine Jabbar’s “potential associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations.” Sources told CNN that investigators have found “writings that the FBI believes support investigators’ view that the attack was inspired by ISIS.”

In comments on the attack, President Biden said, “The FBI also reported to me that mere hours before the attack, he posted videos on social media indicating that he’s inspired by ISIS, expressing a desire to kill.”

A spokesman for the US Army said Jabbar was in the Army from 2007 to 2020. From 2007 to 2015, he served as a human resources specialist and information technology specialist on active duty and deployed to Afghanistan once during that time. From 2015 to 2020, Jabbar was in the reserves.

While the motive remains unclear, the attack comes after more than a year of the US backing Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza, and support for Israel has historically been a motive for terrorist attacks against the US. A US official told ABC News that authorities believe Jabbar was radicalized in recent years, and the “Israel-Hamas war” may have exacerbated his radicalization.

The US has also significantly stepped up its bombing campaign against ISIS in Syria in recent months. On the other hand, the US helped Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), an offshoot of al-Qaeda that has a similar ideology to ISIS, take over Syria.
