US Blocks Delivery Of Iraqi Oil Revenues To Pressure Baghdad Into Disarming Resistance: Report

Iraqi resistance groups carried out scores of operations targeting US military installations in Iraq throughout the US-Israeli war on Iran

US President Donald Trump’s administration has frozen security cooperation programs with Baghdad and blocked dollar shipments from reaching Iraq in a bid to pressure the government to dismantle Iran-backed resistance organizations, according to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

“A cargo-plane delivery of nearly $500 million in US banknotes, the proceeds from Iraqi oil sales from Federal Reserve Bank of New York accounts, was blocked recently by Treasury Department officials because of US concerns about the militias,” Iraqi and US officials told WSJ on 21 April.

“It was the second scheduled shipment of dollars to the Central Bank of Iraq delayed by the US since the start of the Iran war in late February,” the sources added...

The report came a day after the Iraqi central bank announced that it was not short on dollars and “fulfilled all requests from banks and exchange companies for US dollars.”

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Saleh al-Jasser, said on Wednesday that the joint feasibility studies for a planned railway connection linking Saudi Arabia and Turkiye through Jordan and Syria are expected to be finalized by the end of the year. He emphasized that the initiative is aimed at facilitating trade flows.

In an interview with Al-Arabiya Business, Jasser stated that the project would “enhance regional integration, support trade, and develop a sustainable land transport system between the countries of the region.”

He also pointed out that Saudi Arabia’s existing rail network currently reaches the Jordanian border through the Al-Haditha crossing, describing it as a key strategic point for future expansion toward broader regional and international rail connectivity.

White House Devises 'Naughty And Nice' List To Rank NATO Allies By Military Support: Report

The move worsens an already divided NATO, as Washington considers rewarding some allies and punishing others

US officials are drawing up what diplomats describe as a “naughty and nice” list ranking NATO allies based on their support for the US-Israeli war on Iran, POLITICO reported on 22 April.

The proposal, developed ahead of NATO chief Mark Rutte’s visit to Washington this month, would place member states into tiers and outline potential consequences for those who refused to participate in military operations against Iran, European diplomats and a US defense official familiar with the discussions said.

Officials described the initiative as a “naughty and nice” framework, echoing earlier remarks by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who said “model allies that step up … will receive our special favor,” while those who do not “will face consequences.”

The White House’s tier list scheme comes in response to their allies' refusal to take part in “Operation Epic Fury,” with spokesperson Anna Kelly stating that countries hosting US troops “have not been there for us,” warning that “the United States will remember.”

NATO is increasingly being divided along lines of compliance with Washington.

Ex-Deputy From North Carolina Plotted Mass Shooting In New Orleans, Officials Say

DESTIN, Fla. (WECT/ WBTV) - An ex-deputy from North Carolina was arrested in Florida on Wednesday after he allegedly planned a mass shooting at a festival in New Orleans.

The former deputy -- Christopher Gillum -- was arrested just after 6:30 p.m. on April 22 at a Hampton Inn hotel in Destin, Fla.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said it got word that Gillum was in the area and found him using a camera system. Once they located him, deputies found a handgun and about 200 bullets in his hotel room.

Authorities accused Gillum of planning to go to an unspecified festival in New Orleans, where he allegedly plotted to conduct a mass shooting. CNN reported that he also planned to die “by cop.”

“This disturbing case highlights how technology like FLOCK [cameras] and strong partnerships between agencies can help prevent potential violence and bring wanted fugitives into custody safely before a tragedy could occur,” the Okaloosa County sheriff said.

Gillum -- who lives in Chapel Hill, N.C. -- was wanted for terroristic threats and was being held in the Okaloosa County jail until he could be taken to Louisiana to face charges.

US Missile Stocks 'significantly Depleted' Since Start Of War On Iran: Report

Reports have indicated that Israel and Washington’s Gulf allies have also been dealing with dwindling air defense stockpiles

The US army “significantly depleted” its missile stockpile throughout the illegal war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to assessments and sources who spoke with CNN on 21 January.

As a result, it is now at “near-term risk” of running out, the report reveals.

“The US military has expended at least 45 percent of its stockpile of Precision Strike Missiles; at least half of its inventory of THAAD missiles, and nearly 50 percent of its stockpile of Patriot air defense interceptor missiles,” CNN reports, citing an analysis by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

The Pentagon recently signed several contracts to expand the production of missiles. Yet delivery is estimated to take three to five years, even at increased capacity, according to the sources and the CSIS assessment.

The CNN report adds that Washington is likely capable of resuming attacks on Iran if the truce fully collapses.

❗️French complaint accuses FedEx of aiding Israel's genocide in Gaza through covert transit of F-35 components

A pro-Palestine group in France has filed a legal complaint against FedEx, accusing the logistics giant of complicity in war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide over its alleged role in transporting aircraft components used by the Israeli forces in Gaza. The French Jewish Union for Peace (UJFP) claims the company’s French subsidiary facilitated the transfer of key parts from the US to Israel via Paris, contributing to the maintenance of fighter jets deployed in bombing and surveillance operations.

According to the complaint, at least 117 shipments transited through Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport between April and October 2025, including multiple deliveries flown directly to Israel.
