Video footage that circulated on social media on 23 December showed a large Christmas tree burning in Hama’s Suqaylabiyah – a Christian neighborhood. The tree was set ablaze on Monday by foreign militants under HTS’s command. Some reports said the militants were from Chechnya, while others said they were Uzbeki fighters.
HTS deployed a military official to the scene of the burning to condemn the incident and vow punishment for those responsible.

There is no trails, no processes. Only a bullet to the head and being dumped on the road.
And while the low-rank soldiers and informats (both volunteers and coerced) are being murdered, high rank officials either defected before the fall of the previous state and reconciled or escaped to Lebanon and Iraq.
Most of the soldiers who are being given am amnesty are Syrian sunni soldiers and officers, who made the majority of the Syrian Arab Army. Alawites made the a large portion of higher ranks, but not exclusively.
Sectarian violence is also being reported, where the tombs of Alawite elders and scholars are being burned and exhumed."

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) authorities shoot at peaceful protesters in Homs, Jableh, Tartous and Latakia demonstrating against extremist sectarian attacks on Alawite symbols and sites. Injuries and deaths have been reported across several areas. A 6 pm - 8 am curfew has been imposed in Homs and 'combing operations' have been announced.
The protests erupted after a video circulated online showing the burning of the Alawite shrine of Abu Abdullah al-Hussein Bin Hamdan al-Khuseibi in Aleppo, and the execution of 5 civilians.
Authorities claim the video is old (from the first days of the terrorist attacks on Aleppo) and that the perpetrators will be "held accountable" . The date can't be verified, but it appears to have taken place in the first days of HTS' offensive.

“We will confront all terrorist organizations that are trying to exploit the circumstances in Syria,” he added.
The comments come as violent clashes continue between the US-backed Kurdish militia, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and Ankara’s proxy, the Syrian National Army (SNA), a coalition of armed factions consisting of several violent extremist groups containing many ISIS elements. These groups are receiving air cover from Ankara’s air force.

Highlighting the ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, he reminded the worshippers of the hope Gaza has uncovered. 'But it has also been 440 days of resilience and even beauty. I think of our heroes of Gaza: the doctors, the medics, the rescuers, the volunteers - those who sacrifice and give everything for their fellow human beings. I think of those who created schools in tents. The ones who play music to the displaced children, to bring a smile in the midst of pain and destruction. The chefs who are cooking meals en masse. And the smallest of children, tending to their siblings. The loss is enormous. But we have not lost our faith, or our collective humanity. This is the beauty I am talking about.'
